Do you prefer independent, mysterious or nice girly girls?

*Not a troll thread*

There are three easily identifiable kinds of females in Mass Effect trilogy. Independent authority-seeking women (Miranda, Ashley, Jack), mysterious (Kasumi, Samara) and more girly, submissive (those who accept male as undisputed leader) kind of women who almost worship Shepard (Liara, Tali, Kelly, Diana Allers is bad). What kind do you prefer to romance in ME trilogy and is the same with your real life expectations?

What kind of men do you prefer if you are into them?

Well the only romances for my male Shepard that I enjoyed and which I have chosen so far were Liara and Tali (Liara being my canon), so it would be the feminine kind, even though the two aren't the same of course, but it fits pretty well with my real life experiences, there are some similarities between the two and my girlfriend, but I won't point all of them out here.

Jack acts tough but really shes just a sweetheart.

I normally choose Tali.. Id pick Jack if her romance was there in ME3... but she was one of those characters that Bioware decided to neglect /sigh

I really do feel sorry for the ME2 romancers. Bioware really did give them the shaft.

So to answer your question.. I choose the kind girlys.

I, personally also prefer more feminine, somewhat submissive type. Bossy girls who act like men are instant turn-off

Umm, they're all pretty damn feminine, OP. Feminine and submissive aren't the same thing, you sexist bastard.

All jokes aside, I almost always pick Miranda though.

I prefer men =op. But if I ever felt like having a lesbian moment, then definitely a 'tough' woman. I've always loved Aria (in spite of being Asari) and wouldn't have hesitated to romance Jack had she been available for FemShep.

Somebody like Miranda. I don't identify her with any specific "group" because she takes traits from all 3 you listed.

My wife is very feminine, but i can guarantee you that there is nothing submissive about her. I prefer a woman who is my equal. Image IPB

In that case, in game, I prefer traditionally masculine, 'tough guy' men. Very alpha, dominant, deep-voiced, tall, physically and/or socially powerful, etc. Not going to lie about it. I would have romanced the Arishok had he been available. Tragically, Bioware rarely makes these kinds of characters romanceable (only one I can think of off the top of my head is Lt. Pierce and his isn't a very satisfying romance). So I settle for what I can get and generally find them enjoyable (Garrus, Alistair, Carth - yes, I know Carth is like the exact opposite of everything I listed above).

In real life, I still prefer dominant, deep-voiced, and tall. However, as I'm not interested in living as someone's trophy or sex toy, the husband-quality traits of some degree of sensitivity, devotion to family and overall chivalry are preferred. Fortunately for me, my husband is exactly that (of course, I may be just a teensy bit biased in my assessment :innocent: ).

Liara and Tali are my favourites.

Obviously, I have to widen my net IRL, as there aren't that many tentacle-heads or chicken-legs running around.

Tough/mysterious. If you identify a tough woman as manly and a submissive one as feminine..........you are messed up and need to go outside.

I saw one weird girl with such hairstyle. Those were not usual dreadlocks, but something very similiar to Liara's tentacles

As far as imaginary women go, Liara. She is educated and passionate, but not ME1 Liara. Liara and Ashley seem to be designed to appeal to Asocial male demographic. Liara becomes a bit more fleshed out in ME2. In the first game, she acts like some horny teenage girl out of a bad anime.

If I put all women into three separate rooms labelled tough, mysterious and submissive, I won't close the doors of the rooms just because I believe I won't like them.
I keep all doors open, I keep my mind open. :innocent:

I would say, balanced! Meantaly healthy and agreeable person!

That could probably include several different types of people seeing as how things blance things out in different ways.

Lol at non-submissive women not being feminine. Well, I guess thousands of years of cultural stereotyping can't go away just like that.

Also, I don't find Kasumi and Samara "mysterious". They are strong women, just more specialized.
