I've seen people wearing BotB who were terrible and others who were good. Banners don't mean anything, BotB is no exception.

They may not be a "n00b", but it's true that many with this banner aren't exactly the best as it would imply.  I like when I see the banner, because I know they won't be a random terribad.  Most of them can at least keep up, but for the most part I still end up outscoring them, and many of them by a large margin.  It's kind of bizarre really.  And yeah, I play Gold exclusively, with the occasional platinum.

alot of the problem is people seem to take the banners too seriously, me and some of my friends have all the banners and just rotate them, i know im not a bad player but wouldnt call myself "best of the best" frankly to do so just shows you have a ego. try not to judge a book by its cover. if youre feeling un easy with the people your in the lobby with it should be their character setups and gear equipted, or characters that jump into gold with a lv 20 character with a n7 rating of 20 lol

In all seriousness though, banners are pretty trivial.
I think most player pick the ones with pretty colours.

It takes a lot of hours of play to obtain the BOTB banner. It also requires the person solo some gold matches and overall play a fair bit of Gold.

There are no absolutes, but with the amount of playing time and Gold+ required to get the BOTB, the laws of probability make the chances the player will be "terrible" quite small. I have literally never ran into a player with the BOTB banner who sucked.

It took me a while to get the BotB, but I'm not always at my best. I do get out scored at times, and sometimes I'm just too tired or distracted by my cats jumping on my Xbox, to put in my usual full focus. I certainly don't laugh at lower ranked players, or those who haven't gotten many banners.

Im more intimidated by the "Lone Wolf" banner, mostly cause i havent tried soloing anything other than bronze (plan on trying silver soon). but i still give it my all. just started to come out on top in gold matches probably every 3 out of 5. just enjoy the game and f*%$ the haters.

Peeps have posted on here numerous times that they have done challenges under other player accounts. People have also cheated.

Even if they do.. they are looking down on your Fake name using their Fake name. Who cares?

I have some insecurity toward BotB players as well.
They seem to take game too lightly.. or just don`t preform as well as I hoped..

Banners are nothing but grinding. How many of those BotB players simply grinded it out on silver? I myself know that when I get the BotB banner it will mean something to me, because I have done most of the 200 waves challenges and promotion challenges on gold. I rarely went down a notch in difficulty after a promotion

I have.  the only challenge that requires gold is 2 solos that can easily be done with a kroguard

  It's a nice banner, but really all it takes is a determination to grind.  I'm working at it myself bit by bit and I consider myself a fairly average player. Capable but no one special.

Not getting a big ass score doesn't mean that you are not good. I (and I bet most players) appreciate good supporters much more than those clownass rushers.

And for the thread starter, Hotld banner is kinda more valuable than Botb for being event banner. It ist he only banner I don't have, and I never will .
