Well, that wasn't the part I thought was trolling. It was the part suggesting that if you've got the Lonewolf banner (by doing Gold Solo the easiest way possible, no less) then you're by definition a good player.

LOL not a good player but to ease his pain  I ever said he was by definition a good player, merely that peoplewould ot look down on him "as much as before" ... hey I'm a helpful guy

My god... Its a banner on a meaningless game which usually doesn't display the skills of a player using it. Nothing more nothing less. You need to stop building it up as something important and significant. This topic is an example of the problems with banners and how people overthink too much. 

Get out more. Seriously. In fact, chances are you'll get the banner (whenever that is) you'll wear it, do badly in a game and get exceptionally angry with yourself.

I have the Best of the best banner and sometimes if feel like the other players expecting me to top the scoreboard and carrie the whole team...

You know, I took off all banners for a while and went naked in lobbies because I felt in my case BoB was definitely false advertising (and who wants to wear stinky old mShep's face, anyway??). My friends all gave me a hard time about not wearing it, pointing out that I worked my **** off to earn it, especially those gold solos which took me many, many tries.

They have a point. I did *earn* that banner. I promoted. I soloed. I ground out endless waves with characters and kits I hate. And while I am by no means the best of anything, I play a decent game and try hard to be a good teammate.

So now that I can wear femShep, I have it back on.

I don't judge any player by their banner, but by their play. All I ask is the same in return.

^Dbag answer. Kid after playing 950+ hours I can only say don't sweat it. It just a card and some people do not even deserve it, just keeping playing silver until it' casual then try gold.

I have my Monster banner cause I love Krogans and it looks so dam cool and its enough for me
Admittedly I am trying to unlock the BotB jus cause I'm compulsive that way

So what did we learn from this thread?

#1) The people that have the BOTB banner don't really care either way & just love the game.

#2)The people that don't have it try to put it down & make it seem like a bad thing because they're pissed that they can't get it. They insult the players that do have it by saying if they have it, it means they have no life.


And don't try to reply saying that you're not pissed or jealous. Because you're not fooling any one. We all know you're butthurt because you don't have it but wish you did. The way you childishly lash out at anybody that does have it tells the real story. If you truly didn't care you wouldn't say anything.

Best of the best doesn't mean a damn thing (I've had it for the longest time).

It just means someone has played the game for a while, and played for challenges. I've seen plenty of terrible BotB players, and I've seen plenty of decent players without the banner.

In fact, I haven't seen a single person act butthurt, pissed, or jealous in this thread except for you. It's also funny once you realize that most of the people you're talking about already have the banner. Why so defensive? Hit a nerve?

OP, I'd help you out but I'm on Xbox & it looks like you're on PS3. I have the BOTB banner but I still love helping out new players. I remember back when I first started playing & I didn't know we had Cobra Rockets or Medigel. I was playing as the female Infiltrator, I was the last man standing & the rest of the team had to sit there watching me try to take down an Atlas with my crappy level I guns. And all the time all I had to do was use my Cobra missile but I didn't know how.

Ive had BoTB for a while now, but i dont wear it . (For the Solo's by the way i didnt Krogard , tho i did Krosol and just Rio/Inferno my way to victory vs geth , without using the box of shame - not that you need it since Geth cant sync you anyway but i digress)

I actually dont wear it for 2 reasons. 1 - I get the typical mic idiot comments whenther im loading up into a lobby by smart alec teens , who then proceed to comment on how they are scoring higher with thier GI/TGI etc than me during a match (Funnily enough i play for credits and to not die, im not a ******)

And secondly because i actually get kicked by low N&'s sometimes when im in a lobby lol. Besides which as stated a lot here, BoTB doesnt indicate skill. Im by no means a bad player, id say above average maybe on a good day, but i dont want to wear something im clearly not. The Femshep is tempting, but i'll stick with Nomad

Um, i have it (but prefer no banner) and i do think its pretty useless. As i mentioned, a lot of bad Bobs run from the lobby very quickly. But i do manage to catch glimpses of them and some that i know are using it in the lobby run off in wave 9.
