Seriously, what is up with that? Why is it the 'in' things for pugs to play without warp/throw now?
They look extra stupid running to the enemy just to detonate AF.  With the Fury, I guess, it's doable with DC and all but why would a ASent use AF just to blast? It's not that powerful.

I used to run a devastator mode-less destroyer. Wasn't a big fan

I cant speak much for the Valkyrie but I did it on my Fury to get a better understanding of how the new skills worked. I think it works out even better on the Asari though because of the added fitness + tech armor. That being said warp is one of the few skills I can't imagine skipping on most biotics.

Hardly the issue here, gold isn't the place for stupid, ineffective builds unless you can still pull your weight.

If you can make your crazy build work, more power to ya; stick with gold and have fun.

If your stupid build means you finish the match with 40k, then you should really be saving the stupid builds for bronze.

In a co-op game, you need to make sure that your "fun" isn't impacting on other player's enjoyment. Thus, screwing your team over by being dead weight isn't really a good thing.

Again, if you can make a bizarre build work, then that's great. If you fail terribly at it, you shouldn't be using it on gold and impacting on other player's experiences.

I don't really care, but after you see more than 5 in a week using "special" builds, one starts to wonder. They can't all be trolls, ignorant or doing their Biotic challenge. They weren't even low levels.

Unfortunately, pugs think gold is the place for that. lol I'm used to see weird builds, but it's like every Fury/Asent pug is playing a suicider AF this week.

Personally I use it because even after all my games I still can't get the vanilla asari adept >.<

The furys I'm seing on gold don't have/use throw. I'm lucky if they DC->AF. All they seem to do is run to the enemy and explode AF. Then repeat.

That is... dumb. Especially on higher difficulties. DC + Throw for the win here.

Simply put, most people have abandoned biotics because biotic power spam is much less effective than just spamming weapons.  BEs are pretty much shut down in many public matches anyways due to tech ammo/tech power spam constantly overwriting biiotic primes and due to shooty classes gunning for the primed enemies.

@ Lieber Because they're beautiful and, if the team respect them, they melt everything.

The old wizard is right, though. As an AA you end up detonating more FE/TB than your BE.

Speak for yourself Grumpy, I routinely drag Gold PUGs to glory using biotic kits.

A shame. My friend and I would wreck wave after wave of enemies on Gold with Biotic Explosion assists (I did Reave, he did throw).

I assume no one uses Biotic Explosions for Platinum either? (Since I want to jump in there for this weekly challenge)

They do, but it's rare because weapons>powers now.

But it's beautiful when it happens, I saw a pug Drelldept (that's rare) on Hydra and he was like a kid at a candy store. BE everywhere he went. It was U/U/P, too.

Well, unless I'm using the wrong word, no. It doesn't detonate warp, reave, singularity or AF. It just primes.
