I personally can't name one that I've replayed/cared about more.

The Walking Dead. It's a bit of a stretch to call it a series but it was episodic in format so I'll do it anyway.

Fallout New Vegas. Other than that, none.

Walking Dead I can definitely agree with, but I discovered them after episode 5 so I played them all in one sit down. Needless to say I had to spend minutes on every decision, but Mass Effect was a journey from 08-present day for me. I've never been more excited for a game to come out than when ME2 hit the shelves.

Can't say any other series has made me feel the way Mass Effect has. That's why this whole thing felt the way it did.

I've liked many videogame series like Assassins Creed, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Deus Ex.. but none that can be described as "emotionally attached to", to the point of going into depression if something wrong happens to/in them.. At the end of the day they are all methods to earn moar moneyz for their creators (both devs and publishers), made by fallible human beings, not genius gods.

I've been intensely displeased with the direction of Halo since 343i took over, but I've never been attached to a game world as I was to ME.

Dragon Age: Origins. The good news is I stopped before I purchased DA2. It was going to be the thing I finally bought after ME3, and then, well, you know the rest.

That's why DAO hasn't been ruined for me, yet!

Mass Effect Trilogy was the best game ever for me...until that freaking *ending*
I like the Fallout series but not on an emotional level, so I guess it would be Dragon Age.

Walking Dead as of last year. Looking forward to season 2.
I liked other stuff like Dragon age but the emotional investment wasn't as big for those series.

Sir, like your great many posts I fail to understand this one too. No offense intended. :|

As far as TV shows, Firefly. Met my best friend because of that show. In videogames, The Elder Scrolls. Specifically Morrowind. I played that game for hundreds of hours. Currently it's SWTOR. I love Star Wars and I just can't get enough of my Agent Operative. She's just fun to play. Be it PvP or PvE, it's all good.

You have no heart.

ME3 has the saddest moments.

Mordin, Tali, Legion, Miranda... and the list goes on.

You liked DA:O that much, but stopped before buying DA2?  Why?

As for the OP's question, the ME series takes the cake.  No other series, besides Zelda when I was younger, could come close.
