wasnt as bad as reach, but no where near as good as the original trilogy. Campaign was pretty good, but Halo CE-3 had a better storyo Ventus wrote...

I'd have to say Halo. it is what ive been playing until how terrible reach and 4 were. The original Halo trilogy is probably the only game series ive like as much as ME, which i just got into (best game series ive played, EVER).
Halo 4 was bad? Reach I could understand (though the premise for Reach is good) but 4?
What other series have you been as emotionally invested in as in ME?

I completely forgot: my main Shepard's personality is pretty much based on Max Payne.
Those monologues... of course, you've got to like cheesy stuff to some degree, but I think Sam Lake's way with words is plain amazing. Even MP3 continued this level unexpectedly well.

Reach? Reach is better than Halo 4. I'd argue the best Halo for SP and MP. At least for me. I'm a huge Halo: Reach fan.
SP? Debatable. MP? Solid "no".
Armor Lock ("Stuck! Better turn on godmode!"), useless weapons (looking at you, Focus Rifle), and Invasion being a lopsided pool of missed opportunity.
Plus the Bungie-made Forge World maps overall sucked (Ragnarok is good) Not all of them, but enough of them to allow for a generalized idea.

None as much as I was with ME.
Dragon age series is a close follow up but not nearly same as ME. Maybe because we get a new character every game, I don't know.
Fallout series and Skyrim comes after that.
But no, none has been able to match with ME yet.

I guess. To each their own. Invasion is fine with me, with the problem that you don't get enough 'space credits' for one of the most fun MP options in Reach, so few people play it. I have NO problem with Armor Lock. And I almost never use it. I like the maps too. So I guess we feel differently about it.
The ranking system is far better than Halo 4, as well. Since when did someone think I'd be more interested in a number than an actual rank name? Plus now you need to unlock to get actual play enhancing gear (sellout to Call of Duty) whereas ranks simply unlocked fun cosmetic stuff. That's all it should ever be about in Halo.

Don't know man.. I found the Moons more horrifying than the Reapers. more mysterious. It screwed my mind when I learned what the moons actually were.
They're essentially moon-sized Necromorphs. Do we know why the Moons devour life?
As stupid as it is, the Reapers have a reason for their genocides. Admittedly though, the moons are scarier then the Reapers, as is their method of "reproduction".
Yeah thats exactly why I find the moons scarier. We don't even know why they're doint it!

reach had a terrible story. Characters were bland and you learned nothing about them. The only one i felt anything for was jorge. I felt nothing when the rest died. That and the mission design sucked as well

Gears of war trilogy which had a good ending.
Dead Space (I still have to play 3, I refuse to buy a brand new copy because of microtransactions).

Pretty much every choice has alot of meaning and makes you think twice before you decide and it still gives you that question if you did the right thing and i consider Geralt to be one of dbest written characters. Mass Effect and Dragon Age have alot of great characters however i never felt anything for the character i was playing.
While in Witcher i care for Geralt alot. Maybe because he is already established character with awesome background, history and there is just something about his voice. I could listen to him all day long and still be intimidated.
Other games: Red Dead Redemption, L.A Noire, The Walking Dead, KOTOR, SW: Republic Commando, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, Legacy of Kain series, Batman: Asylum and City, Gears of War...inc

Because I enjoy them without making them a fundamental pillar for my life?
Good medium to lose ones self in mild escapism from the humdrum day to day routine, and an excellent way to blow off stress and channel out frustration in a healthy way?
What do you mean by emotional investment? I may be working under a different definition than you guys.
