My Warden went through Magic Mirror along with Morrigan to raise their son - an innocent kid with soul of an Old God. I am certain they he and Morrigan will do an excelent job, and maybe this boy won't destroy the world. Or mayb he will - kids, you know.
So, my Warden is a alive and well and i, personally, want him to stay that way. Enoug with "artisitc intergrity" and unavoidable tragic deaths (Hawk's mom says "Hi!").
I would love to see cameo of Warden, but i doubt that in it's current "lot's-of-speculations"-state Bioware will be able to do that.

I don't want to see the warden and Hawke again. The dissapointment a lot of us would properly feel is not worth the hassle, I think.

I would rather hear about them in legend land.

I know some developer said something about seeing Hawke and the Warden again in DA3 but I really hope they just let that idea die a quiet death and never speak of it again. I can't imagine how a Warden and/or Hawke cameo wouldn't be a complete disaster.

On second thought I can imagine a few ways it could work, but it would require an amount of care and effort we really haven't seen from Bioware in a long time. And if they are going to put that kind of care and effort into their games there are better places to put it...like say, making interesting new characters and set-pieces and such.

So, The Warden. We all want to see the Hero of Ferelden again in a future Dragon Age game. And I think I can safely say most, if not all, of us don't want him/her to talk when we do.

I kind of think you make some big assumptions right off the bat here... I don't, for example, want to see my Warden again because he is an elf, and I'm not sure what he'll look like in the elf design (probably not good). Secondly, however, if he did appear, I would most definitely like to hear him speak. (Even better if it's the voice I chose for him... love you, "Angry" voice!)

Lastly, I most definitely absolutely super dee duper would not want to see him die!!! :crying: Which is not to say I don't like your scene you laid out; very dramatic :) But I wouldn't want that to happen to my Warden.

Plus, with both Hawke and the Warden, the LI had better be close by somewhere.

So many people are going to disagree with everything I just said, just as I disagreed with some of what you said. This is why I don't think either Hawke or the Warden will be in DA3. If they were, many fans would undoubtedly be disappointed in some way.

I. WANT. MY. HAWKE. BACK. IN. DA3.

The whole personality for the hawke settles itself because there's three tones that it goes on: diplomatic, humerous, and aggressive.

so PROBLEM SOLVED!

Also would like to see my warden speak :T Dunno whatcha all ****ing about yo' I think it adds TO the character not LESS

Hell, just have it say yes or no for pities sake, the non offensable lines, something nuetral ;u;

Also: : | they can't just LEAVE our hawkes in that BLASTED cliff hanger ;n; its just not FAIR.

Heh the more and more I think about it the more I think bioware is pulling off japanese styled endings >_>

Warden:
Fondly remembered Hero of Ferelden who valiantly gave his life dying for King and Country. I don't mind seeing a statue of him!! Or visiting his grave perhaps.

Now this is something I would like to have, even if I won't be seeing it in my own games. If you import (or checklist/whatever) an Ultimate Sacrifice Warden, and assuming we go to either Weisshaupt or Ferelden, there should be some sort of memorial or tomb. This would be totally awesome. It could be a part of the dynamic scenery, similar to the 'Hawke defeats Arishok' statue at the docks in Kirkwall in Act 3. If you import an US there is a statue, if you don't it's a tree or something.

Ahh I wouldn't be so sure of that! Warden eventually dying is one of the few things all of our wardens have in common;p It has already been..what, 10 or 20 years since DA:O at end of DA 2 right? It is perfectly likely all Wardens are perfectly dead by the time DA3 starts off!

Actually, DA2 starts off at the same time as DA:O, DA:O spanned 2 years, in DA2 there was a one year timeskip and two 3 year timeskips so that's maybe 8 years. Wardens live into their late fourties-early fifties on average it seems and most of the origin stories have the warden start off as pretty young, some even fitting for 18-19 years old so at the end of DA2 they'd span mid twenties to early thirties...just sayin'

No it doesn't. My Hawke has a diplomatic 'base', but quite often took agressive choices and was quite violent, she was just being very polite about it. So I don't want to see a diplomatic, goody two shoes, because by the end of da2 my Hawke is just non-violent towards other mages everyone else better conform to her ideas or just die. Granted she will be polite about it, but she will kill people who does not agree with her and as she is quite radical the number of people agreeing with her is not that big.

Also there was no cliff hanger at the end of da2.

Yeah, I kind of doubt the save-import feature is going to be able to detect the "sarcastic sociopath" personality I was going for with my evil bloodmage Hawke.

Yeah no at this point I just want to head canon what's going on with my Warden but I know that probably wont a possible given how important Leliana seems to be now... *grumble*

I do not want my Warden dying fighting darkspawn. She hated being a Warden.

I must be one of the few who wishes to see my dalish Warden and my sarcastic rogue Hawk again. Perhaps if we ever do meet them, we can choose their dialogue through the dialogue wheel? That would be interesting. Then again, I only want to see them if it makes sense. And if they can't appear for whatever reasons, then I want to hear about them and not like DAII where your Warden is hardly mentioned.

EDIT: And my Warden HATED being a warden. She took every opportunity to show the Order that she will only play their game on her own terms so having her die by darkspawn-suicide would be out of character. She will die by her hands and among her people (or if my character in another game kills her which will be fine I guess).

I was quite upset to see Alistair in DA2 without my Warden. Not That I would have liked to see her with the current Elf style...Brrr...expecially after I have seen Zev...(my poor guy, what have those mean guys done to you?! T_T)
and I found it quite strange even the way he referres to her (a friend of mine?a FRIEND!?!?!and let's not speak about giving HER things to strangers...U_U) expecially after Awakening, in wich was said they where together.
Still, I could live with that. I have a mention of my CE, I was at least sadisfated. Even if during the Qunari crisis she and Alistair where separated, I could simply reflect that she was in Amarantine at keep an eye on Ogrhen. no problem. It would have been a normal thing. They are both Warden, and have duty that can separate them for some time.

BUT NO!!! Leliana have to leave the clff hanger!!! and now I don't know what happened to my Warden!!! At least my canon Warden. the others are dead or with Morrigan.

the point is: now I don't know what happened to my mosto loved PC, thank you (sarcastic). I don't really care about how she will look like. But two things I'd like: to see her with her lover (in my case Warden Alistair) and control her one more time, if she have to say something. No way she would speak out of my control. she is MY character. So much more than Hawke. Hawke can be dead, for all I care.
Even better, if she would be dead by my Warden hand. that shemlen was too much a delusion of a character.

Wherever my Wardens are, I'd preferably like the LI to be with them, just as I would like Carver/Bethany to be with Hawke if I see her/him again.

Actually, it would be lovely to hear what the Warden is doing that's so important from their LI. Even if they romanced Morrigan, it sounds like she's likely to make a return and could easily fill us in on how good a daddy he is. The only LI where it would be random for them to turn up is Zevran. As for DA2, Carver and Beth can fit into the main story easily, and they could tell us what Hawke's up to. Or the LI. Or Varric.

Not only does the OPs idea of a cameo not fit my warden, the entire concept doesn't fit. I let Avernus live and encouraged his research, couple that with the fact my warden was a blood mage. He won't be meeting his calling for quite some time. I expect to find my warden next to Morrigan in front of that burning barn.

Just because you let Avernus live is no gurantee that he'll come up with a way to free you of the taint or prolong your life. Additoinally I'm not sure how long a warden with the taint can live even with blood magic. I'd imagine it wouldn't have all that significant an impact.

Despite their mishaps with some plot inconsitencies and subsequent retcons, I think Bioware have learned their lessons and I trust them to handle a cameo responsibly.

Heh, fairly stated point. My Hawke now is aggresive with very good intentions.. tough love sort of deal. and if she's an **** I'd be kinda dissapointed..
but At least I want to make a apperance D:

=___=  Eh, hun, |D there was, the chantry blew up.

Now we have NO idea where our hawke is and it just sorta.. ended.. for a set up on a expansion, which was eventually canceled. boo ;__; I wanted that expansion sooo bad >_<

The scene should be all the companions throughout the series are gathered in one place arguing about something...then all of a sudden Hawke and The warden come walking over a hill and they stand at the top and shout "Miss us" then all the dragon age origins companions go and hug my warden and all my dragon age 2 companions go hug hawke and then Hawke, The warden and the inquisitor shake hi five each other and walk into the sunset with all the companions at the back...Especially Sten he's my favourite...

He seems to be forgetting that Avernus is a warden who has lived for hundreds of years. And credits it to his use of blood magic.

I'd like to add that it's pretty funny how people are saying "just going off my Hawke's base personality would be bad". As if it's a downgrade from da2. That's all they did! I hated that feature from the beginning of my first play through. They were like: Your serious and trying to get your family to run away from monsters? We decide you'll be a complete dick to Aveligne when she's seeing her husband die. To which I replied: Really?
