Yeah, BW is listening to fan feedback, but the thing they never say is that a lot of time the answer to that feedback is "no."

In fact Chris and Stan were repeating exactly this over and over again in many threads about "BW ignores fan's feedback".

Really? My bad.  I must have missed those posts. Sorry.

Another wishful thinking thread?
Don't forget to buy that DLC before users reviews. You deserve that.

It's going to be fun for me. I've loved all the ME3 stuff so far including the EC so I'm in for more adventure! But some folks want things that aren't going to happen so they'll be bummed. OP your maybe's in your original post sound to me like you are setting yourself up to be bummed too. I hope I'm wrong and you're right!

If the Mako comes back, then this DLC will be a major faill.

On the contrary, this DLC would be awesome.

Buy a DLC before user reviews?  I haven't bought a single DC since the extended cut was released.

Okay, come on guys. Obviously liggy wasn't saying that the entire DLC would just be Shepard and the crew cruising around in the Mako.

Having a revamped Mako segment would be pretty cool. Bioware already hinted at one of the conventions that they were planning to bring the Mako back but couldn't because of a physics problem.

But I'll make it fair.
If I'm wrong about so much as one of the things I've said, you have permission to make a "In your face victory dance" which can be posted on youtube for the whole world to see.

In a couple of weeks we're going to see an astonishing amount of crow eaten around here.

The Mako along with many other things that were a bit rough from the first game could have been great if they had been improved upon instead of simply thrown out. BioWare has had a whole year's worth of feedback. This next DLC will either be utterly amazing or an utter fail for a lot of us. Anybody want some popcorn for one final show?

The problem is that stuff was only worth doing at all because it was cheap. An expensive planetary exploration system takes away dev time from more important stuff.

And why to self-hype yourself? To be more disappointed after last DLC?
ME universe is dead, just bury it.
There is no point in hyping.

They took fan feedback into ME 2 and 3, look how that turned out. They'll do what they want under the circumstances that it will sell.

Backseat developing isn't the same thing as listening to feedback. Yes, there are things I would like to see and I'm vocal about it but ultimately there must be some mutual respect about the developer's creative freedom which may I remind you is already under pressure from the likes of EA.

Why don't you flush out your negativity and think positive for once?

Because I do not see a reason to. Mass Effect 3's SP content, DLC or otherwise, has been rather disappointing up to this point, so I have nothing to put my hopes up. I honestly want BioWare to do it well this time, and I will, as always, keep to my policy of waiting until we see something concrete about the product before deciding if it is worth my time and money... it's just that their recent doings haven't been all that good and that obviously affects my optimism regarding the future.

Word.  By all means, I hope they hit this DLC out of the park and blow fans away and I'm hoping it will make me want to come back to something I miss dearly, but as right now - the currect content is lackluster and has no soul for me, personally.

Yeah, I'd love to be proven wrong and get a DLC that improves the ending even just to be minimally tolerable, too, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

It's a heavy burden, being right. Bioware would rather it be ours to bear than theirs.

I'm okay if it isn't about the ending, my main concern is all the content beforehand, which is the biggest dissapointment.

This could also happen again.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_Effect_3

One of the writers of the Mass Effect series, Patrick Weekes, posted a message on gaming website Penny Arcade critical of Bioware executive producer Casey Hudson and lead writer Mac Walters' handling of the creative process surrounding the ending. According to Weekes, who posted on the Penny Arcade forums using his well-known and attributed personal account "Takyris", Hudson and Walters locked him and the other writers out of production of the ending, personally chose the ending they preferred and refused to allow peer review (as had been done with previous chapters of the storyline) once the details of the planned ending were selected. Weekes stated that the ending was "entirely the work of our lead and Casey himself", who decided "they didn’t need to be peer-reviewed", with Weekes concluding "It shows."
