What.? Danes cannot attend. Sweden, norway, finland, germany, UK can. Is this due to you needing personal information or the prize being a value of 0$? I am so confused what law we have that denies this challenge here. Similar challenges happens all the time here.

I thought submitter should add this phrase somewhere in title or text of e-mail, since filename shouldn't be too long, especially in the Internet.

I named my file "Biotic Mastery by <Full Name>", added it as attachment and I hope it will be included in the contest.

Ok, i put "Mass Effect 3 Community Art Contest" in the Title of the E-Mail and first name + middle name + surname in the body.
Hopefully it is nothing wrong with that.

As EA is the noted sponsor; I know that the US has some laws regarding prize awards, even if the value is effectively €£$0. So it's not just about the recievers but the givers too. I know this was the case with City of Heroes and their various competitions so they literally made some of their 'prizes' (costume codes, etc.) giveaways and you simply showed up to certain servers at certain times and they PM'd codes to people, circumventing 'competition rules' since they were just handed out.

Would it be considered against the rules to "sponsor" a banner? Let me explain: Perhaps someone from the countries not listed in the rules creates a banner and someone else, a resident of the countries listed, submits said banner as an entry...would that be considered cheating?
Also, I'm not talking about stealing someone's work, because it would be done with the permission of the designer of the banner of course, and I am not impliying that I want to "sponsor" or "have sponsored" a banner, it's just a question.

Technically any work done by a group of people (like 2 or more) is against the rules of contest. However one person submitting as a group without mentioning it is not detectable, unless materials someone uses are from other sources than legit ME franchise (like screenshots).

From my perspective, there are 5 prizes for this contes, worldwide. What means it's hard to win anything. From practical view, helping other person to make better banner would profit in having cool grahpical item ingame.

The fade and text are just guides so you can see how your final banner will look. If you look at the full Photoshop layer names it says to hide the text and disable the mask for submission. You don't want to block or remove any part of your original image.

My lack of Photoshop is...concerning. I assume I won't be able to enter since I can't use the /psd Template?

The template is useful but you don't need Photoshop to submit an entry. Just be aware when you design that if you put something right on the edges they will potentially be obscured by the fade effect. And also you'll want to put the focus on the right side since the left will be under the tags/titles.
