Some nice banners i here!!..bump!!

Since we are only allowed to send only one Banner I can not decide which one I should take for the Contest maybe you guys can help me with that.
I know that they are not that great compared to most of the Banners here, but im a graphic design noob.

You can send as many as you want. If you send more than one someone will pre-judge and pick which one they will send to the judging stage.

Although we will do this I highly recommend you make that choice for yourself. If we have a lot of people sending in multiple banners it is a lot of time spent on unrelated contest material. Which may very well lead to the automatic disqualification if it becomes to cumbersome.

 Well, first time using GIMP, and I'm not creative, but at least, I can tell myself that I tried.

I can't really tell exactly what you did, but for your first time using Gimp it looks really good.

Yeah me too maybe we should make a Banner free to use thread where we post the Banners that we don´t send to BW and People who don´t make they're own Banners could send them in if they like.

Btw that was my  lone wolf try first time using Gimp.

Hackett is a screenshot from the extended cut, the space&planet background is a screenshot from a cinematic, I'm not really sure which part, because I picked it from my screenshot dump folder. Originally I wanted to somehow use the whole pic from Hackett with his ship's interior as a background, but my resolution was incompatible with the contest's rules (it was too narrow), so I had to place him somehow elsewhere. (I couldn't make the missing part of the background continous looking with the clone-tool, so it would have matched the width criteria.  So I used this other picture for it.)
edit: Btw, when I opened GIMP for the first time, I was horrified...

I really like the Street Sweeper, and overall style, but the rest of the mods look awkward to me.

I don't know people that would like to identify themselves with Valkyrie w/ extended clip ;-)

Edit: what I mean is that the Omni blade fits in nicely, the other stuff - not so much.

I know, same opinion here. Omni blade looks cool but the rest, .. i wasn't so sure about it (but like I said, just ideas). 
And I used the extended clip at the assault rifle because they need so much ammo lol

BioWare use all of these! 

BioWare said they would only take one from each person but they really need to make an exception here. These all need to be added. No ifs, ands or buts.

Certainly an upgrade over the current banners. Well done. As far as I can see you used the promotional weapons. However, I don't think some weapons have a typical recognizable style. Especially the Eagle doesn't really look like a typical pistol. And the weapons are quite zoomed in, hiding some of their shape behind text. Additionally, the promotional shotgun and assault rifles don't seem to be extremely popular (*mumbles something about the Claymore*).

Perhaps it's an idea to use 3 weapons per banner, placed over each other (like a stack of weapons). Just a suggestion here. May also provide a tad more color, and the use of more popular and distinguishable weapons.

Additionally, the omni-blade is the only thing actually attached to a weapon, and not displayed as seperate icon. Perhaps you could do that with the other guns too?

Oh, and then there's the issue how Bioware only picks 5 winners. It's a shame, but that's how it works. Contest rules indicate only one of your banners would have a chance, while they do belong together. You certainly did a better job than Bioware.

Good idea with the stack of weapons, maybe I'll try this. I knew the promo N/ weapons aren't all popular lol but I needed it to be the same color scheme. 
Since I made these all in 15 Minutes, I now have no idea how to put the weapon mods AT the weapons, I don't have the right image material.... 

Maybe I'll only submit the shotgun banner. Still unsure.

While you're entitled to your opinion, I respectfully and totally disagree with it.
