Turian Saboteurs' powers have great 'synergy.' They just aren't 'damage at your fingertips' powers like with a GI or similar.

Also, it's unclear to me how the Batsent is significantly better than the Vorcha Hunter.

He's not better than the vorcha hunter, less durable, no mobility, doesn't have incinerate. If I had to pick worst kit in the game it would be the batsent, not the volsent or the vorcha hunter.

Gotta go with batarian sentinel. The only thing it has going for it is high hp/dr. Sub net and shockwave are both buggy/bad and no dodge = bad kit.

volsent isn't good but i have found him fun to play... to change things up... and have done really well with him and a mattock.

q-marksman is by far the dullest and worst kit in the game. completely lame.

best part of this post for me, is gonna be queueing up the volsent for battle after my bm.

Try using the Decoy against Geths, they'll completely ignore you and focus on the player that isn't raging from their never-ending stun-locking attacks.

Yeah, "Sentinal". Another spelling mistake that makes me shiver.

"Kaiden" Alenko was a "Sentinal", am I right?

I am still going to say the Volus Sentinel. I think to truly test a character's abilities, you play Unknown/Unknown matches and not selected setups. In my experience with using him, this character is the worst as his power set is bad against Collectors and Reapers.

Two things: Saboteur can tech burst, Sabotage primes. It's also a good staggering power.

Second, Peddro believes Tech Vulnerability debuff does work with tech explosions, though I'm not sure he has tested it.

He's pure support, and decoy still works nearly the same as ever. Do you decoy complainers even USE it? Anything with a gun and then some will be distracted. He serves his purpose well. The quarian marksman however, has one completely uselesss power and is squishy to boot. Even quarian females can tank better. Sabo doesn't stin consistently and does poor damage. He should have gotten grenades, concussive shot, an armor boosting power like fortification, or carnage.

Quarian Marksman punches ALL the buns. Leave.....him....alone:blink:

No kit with Marksman could ever be bad. The other two powers are irrelevant. Also Tac Scan synergizes with Marksman better than either of the TSols other powers.

BatSent is so great compared to the Volus Sentinel, I can't believe he is mentioned in the same thread. Then again I love the guy. Low shield recharge delay + crowd control powers and a Raider makes for some really fun and aggressive playing. Compared to certain characters his powers are obviously mediocre when brought to platinum, but then again platinum is boss killing mode, and crowd control isn't that important. I'm the kind of guy who'd rather see characters be brought closer to the BatSent than to the GI in terms of effectiveness anyway.

But the Volus Sentinel needs some love. Sure, you can do well with him in gold. This has never been a good arguement. You can use a good gun and if your aim and awareness is good you'll do well with a level one character in gold. And one good thing about the Volus Sentinel is that you can max passives and just put four ranks into decoy and combat drone. But that's not really a good thing, is it? Pets need a buff in general. If they'd actually contributed, then deploying them in strategic locations would've been fun and rewarding. I don't understand why the other pets can't be made as attractive to spec into as the geth turret (which both restores shields, staggers mooks and seems to take a lot more damage before getting destroyed).

Every single thread that has more than five posts has a something with bad grammar.  When I saw the title I thought it was done on purpose.

Re Decoys, the op is correct no reason to nerf that power at all.  Some of the choices in the tree for it are pretty meaningless if melee opponents ignore it.

What a surprise, retaliation gave more quantity than quality, what an astonishing discovery.

Saboteur
Hunter
Volus Sentinel
Protector (2 shield recharging powers, why?)
Havoc - I'm not amused, melee damage isn't that impressive

See, I disagree with the statement(s) that the Quarian marksman is worthless. I spec him for maximum weapon/headshot damage and I consistently top the charts. With Tac scan and marksman set for accuracy, headshot damage, rate of fire, and with his passive abilities set for max weapon damage, he kills. Pair his abilities with a Pheaston with piercing and ammo upgrades and yu rip thru enemies. Especially the ole big heads themselves, the Collectors. scions, and collector troops fall like chaff when I step to spraining' with this character, I put three raw into saratoga just to screw its torrents and Geth. But thanks for the input so far.

You certainly grabbed my attention with "Saratoga", that small town really deserves all the raw it can get. Friggin' torrents.

Fraid not. Behold why it will never, ever be as good as the grenade-spammy Demolisher or damage-spiking Drellfiltrator.

Sabotage's Tech Vulnerability debuff effects only two abilities in the Turian Saboteur: The Saboteur's Melee Attack, and the Shock Evolution of the Sentry Turret.

Heavy melee says high. I'm biased, but I like the Saboteur for that reason alone. He deserves stim packs more than the ghost though.(Assuming anybody deserves them.)

Saboteur can kill her with one sabotage and one heavy melee. Technically he could kill two with the AoE's.

Yeah, a bit like having a potential 8 more squad ops packs, isn't it (with a damage boost to boot). The fact that they were given to an infiltrator... wouldn't have happened on my watch, to put it that way.

Volus Sentinel rocks. Just use cloak first before using decoy. In my opinion, the worst is Salarian Engineer!

seriously? nothing comes close to how terrible this guy is to play. there are many other dull and effective kits but this guy is simply horrific.

okay, gonna spec him like you say and use the phaeston but not use sabotage. super slow tac scan and annoying, blue screen marksman here i come... once i'm done with bm number 2. wow this coffee just rips through me.

Guns and grenades rule the game. Unfortunatly. Vangods, Krogods, invisible men/women.

Yeah, the Volus sentinel could at least be called ONE of the worst classes in the game becasue to the ineffeciveness of his decoy/drone on pretty much everything but geth (and to a lesser extent on cerberus.)  The once mighty Salarian engineer shares a bottom rung in the ME3 multiplayer lineup too. But I'd say the Volus adept takes the "suckiest" character award.

Such heresy I have never seen. The volus sentintel is badass at controlling the battlefield. Between decoy, combat drone, and a disciple, I can improve my teammates chances of surviving by double with all the staggers and distractions. Shield Boost is just an added bonus.

Of all the volus characters I like sentinel the best. For platinum it is awesome for distracting so many enemies, bring a light weapon for support and responder gear and your the best effing team mate ever.

I actually got 2nd place score with one of these little guys once, in a platinum.
