Oh look, one of the idiots who really believe MP is free.Tokenusername wrote...
I shed no tears for those dumb enough to pay for my DLC.
Thank you to all of you who spend money. Without you there would be no 'free' dlc and probably no MP at all anymore

Fix the store, and I'll consider it.

Oh really? How in-depth of a view do you have into BW/EA's finances, pray tell? Because the "no people paying extra = no free DLC" argument gets bandied around a LOT here, and yet I'm pretty sure you have no idea if that's true or not. You do know that BW made a lot of money from the outright sales of ME3, right? Do you think it's conceivable that the money they made there was more than enough to pay for the MP DLCs, and that the money people spend in the store is pure profit for them? Maybe?

Facepalm.
No, no, no, no. It goes towards other company finance projects, servicing debts, overhead costs, expenses, new development projects. It does NOT go to a new DLC or cash fund to make new DLC. This is how Company finance and accounts work.
If you think you're getting a DLC for free you're a moron. The support comes so long as the game remains profitable. The money that came from the initial sale is gone, finito, zip, poof! It's been used for other purposes.
Will they keep supporting ME3 MP? Probably, they may very well use it as a test bed for ME4 MP, towards the end of it's life. But, it is dependant on how profitable it remains.
Edit:
Yes I have dropped some money on the release of new DLCs, mainly left over from other game purchases. so maybe £20 over 11 months since release.

Exactly, and this is EA we're talking about here after all, a pure profit coporation, that does things soley for the income that said product with rein in. Regardless of the quality of said product, if it can bring in revenue, they will support it. Free DLC with a micro transaction model makes more money in the long term than charging a small set rate for each DLC. It also prevents a consumer base split, which in turn extends the life of said game, providing more profit. They have it aaall figured out by now.billy the squid wrote...

Which ultimately translates to people not having anything better to do.
And telling someone that they have nothing better to do usually means that person also has nothing better to do.
Getting awfully hypocritically redundant up in this thread.

Thanks. If you've spent real money, we've enjoyed 4 DLCs (soon to be 5!) thanks to your willingness to spend your hard earned cash on virtual goods.
Bioware love their games, I'm sure. But they need to make a profit. They need to fulfill Publisher obligations. I doubt they would be churning out MP DLC, one year after release if there wasn't any income being made from it.
