I like playing because I find it to be fun. I love playing as a krogan and sending a Cerberus trooper flying off the map with heavy melee. Acquiring weapons and gear is only a very small part of this game to me.

These people have money, why does it bother you how they spend it? They're paying for our free DLC so you should be a tad bit grateful. Personally I see it as a waste of time, but to those with money why shouldn't they?

Live and let live.

EA is a multi-billion dollar company. Is spending a few greenbacks and making the game suck less really such a tall order?

To hear the community tell it, yes. How dare we tell the devs to fix things like the spawn system or health gate or the Geth being as fun to play against as ramming your genitals into wood chipper. We should all be good little sheep and bleat at how wonderful and magical the game is and turn a deaf ear to the litany of problems the game has. Surely that won't ever bite us in the ass in the long run.

Yes. How dare you tell them to fix something. Their game, not yours. They do what they want. We have no bearing on how they run their game.

Suggestions and error reports are fair game though. But that's all we can do. We can't make demands. As a matter of fact, you single-handedly proved your approach sucks by attacking Bryan Johnson the way you did. Why would he respond to that? He'd have to have the lowest self-esteem out of anyone on this planet to oblige to your "requests" (read: demands).

Pretty much this. I drop a small bit of cash once in a while (it's very small) just to show that I appreciate their business model (even if it is flawed in some ways) of free DLC, paid content. Not everyone has $10 they can just drop on every new piece of content, but others do. This model takes the best of both worlds. That's what I'm supporting. And I'm happy to do so.

I shed no tears for those dumb enough to pay for my DLC.

Oh look, one of the idiots who really believe MP is free.

Thank you to all of you who spend money. Without you there would be no 'free' dlc and probably no MP at all anymore :)

Oh really? How in-depth of a view do you have into BW/EA's finances, pray tell? Because the "no people paying extra = no free DLC" argument gets bandied around a LOT here, and yet I'm pretty sure you have no idea if that's true or not. You do know that BW made a lot of money from the outright sales of ME3, right? Do you think it's conceivable that the money they made there was more than enough to pay for the MP DLCs, and that the money people spend in the store is pure profit for them? Maybe?

Yes. Really. Simple as that.

The particulars has already been given by other people so no need to repeat them.

For future reference: He's way too pompous/self-righteous to ever take what you say into consideration, so don't even bother responding.

I bought 2400 BW points after Retaliation came out, I was thrilled by all the changes and felt BW deserved a bit of a reward from me for their efforts :)
Aside for that I haven't spent any other money on MP stuff.

Yes. I'd like to think that it helps us get more MP DLC.

Buying single player DLCs was supposed to do that.

I'll buy a pack when all my time playing to earn it paid off with multiple packs that gave me NOTHING worthwhile. So I'll throw 5 bucks instead as a last shot to make up for the wasted time.

Usually pays off, no pun intended.

$20 every DLC. Will this one, too. Seems fair. Don't tip well to offset those that don't. Do it to show appreciation and to receive preferential treatment when it can be offered.

Used to buy them once every paycheck... now I don't out of principle because of this stupid credit glitch (going on 3-4 months now!) that saps my enjoyment and the random Origin kicks.

I can't believe the temptation I had to go buy Omega dlc when I couldn't play MP due to origin kicks... then I thought about it and decided not to buy after all because why should crappy service lead to me giving them more money?

I spend a bit every so often as my way of saying thanks to Bioware. I bought a few of the SP dlcs mostly just to show support. And once reckoning comes out, Ill probably spend a little in MP out of appreciation.

i support BioWare and i support it by paying for things they have that i want.
anyone that does not do that doesn't even think first if the proceeds go to BioWare or not. the fact is clear. these go straight to BioWare. i support it in big way. but i do know EA too well. don't worry about it.

Yep same here. Same thing as Path of Exile, it's free to play, I don't give a flying frig about cosmetic effects however I'm more than happy to show financial support for a product I enjoy.

Thankfully I'm in a position in my life where expendable income makes this possible, I know others cannot say the same thing and I have no issue with them.
