Well, there is, but it's the one the game pretends not to remember.o Ventus wrote...
I would be too. There is literally zero reason to kill Falere.
After all, what we players do if it was actually acknowledged that the Asari sent Shepard to carry out some ethnic cleansing in exchange for war assets?

Sure there is. You don't want her to be turned into a Banshee.
She makes it clear as day that she doesn't intend for the Reapers to take her alive.

I'm sure every Batarian and Human and Turian said the same thing before being converted into some nightmare.

Dead Ardat Yakshi don't make for good Banshees. Have you ever killed a Banshee?

Lol Killing Falere is as Renegade as you can get. It effectively makes Samara's suicide even more pointless.
Is not preventing Samara's suicide renegade, or just being lazy?

You'd probably find that most of them were civillians who had no idea what the "Ascension" meant. Falere has firsthand witnessed what happens to Ardat-Yakshi who get turned into Banshees. I'm sure if everyone was well enough informed on that matter, they'd all take their own lives instead of being converted.

Why not kill all the Krogan and Turians you meet as well? Brutes are pretty nasty.Whybother wrote...

Which is exactly why I let Javik give his speech on the Citadel

Ah, but everyone on the citadel dies anyway, so it really doesnt matter either way; your just scaring the crap out of people who are going to be blown up.

No, Genophage is irrelevant as it only prevents making more of them in a few years time. You have to kill each and every one you meet, or they will be turned into Brutes. Kill all humans too, just to be sure.Whybother wrote...

I don't want any krogan to be turned into a brute

A lot of the colonists on Eden Prime looked pretty dead sitting on those Dragon's Teeth, yet they still became husks. Who says an Asari has to be alive to be Reaperized?

Have you see killed a Banshee? Do you know why they dematerialize?

For the one playthrough that I killed Felere, Samara had died in ME2 so obviously there was no suicide or attempted suicide. Shepard doesn't know Felere and Samara isn't there to help explain, so it honestly was not too bad to kill her. Shepard clearly feels like **** afterwards, but the Ardat Yakshi are dangerous even without the reapers, and without metagaming how do you know Felere isn't already indoctrinated. For me it was kind of the same as killing that scientist Asari in the first game (I forget her name) and that turned out to be a smart choice.
As for Liara's reaction, I didn't have her with Shep so I didn't see it. I imagine it would freak her out, that seems in character to me.
