Meh, the whole Ardat Yakshi thing is broken anyway. Only 3 in ME2, with the possibility of more.

Suddenly a **** tonne of them appear out of no where at that monastery just to justify the zillions of Banshees killed in MP.

Any Asari with the Ardat-Yakshi gene can become a Banshee iirc.
So in theory, Samara could become a banshee.

Therefore we should kill all Asari, just to be safe.

Isn't it implied that there are more than just at that one monastery?

Lesuss[/b] is an unpopular garden world, with characteristics just outside of the comfort zone of its asari
population. Its gravity is a little too high, its diseases a little too
virulent, and the soil inhospitable for growing food. Further
information is difficult to come by—the asari government is
uncharacteristically silent about Lesuss. Normally, a garden world
settled so long ago would be highly populated, but little light
pollution can be seen on Lesuss's night side.

Also one odd note is that one of the dead commandos leaves a note for her asari lover. Meaning a person sent to kill Ardat-Yakshi may very well be in a relationship that will produce A-Y.

True but we've heard that the Asari have a stigma against same-species relationships because of the risk.

Ah, but everyone on the citadel dies anyway, so it really doesnt matter either way; your just scaring the crap out of people who are going to be blown up.

Not everyone dies on the Citadel.

No, when did the 13 million people who live on the Citadel evacuate?

According to Twitter -

a). They all die.

B). Some of them survive because of barriers and ****, and all plot characters (Bailey, Aria, Council) survive.

In game -

a). Citadel is full of activity and all is well (Confrontation with the Illusive Man background).

B). They all get killed when the Citadel goes boom.

c). Bit of both.

What probably did happen -

a). Mac Walters

B). Casey Hudson

Its ok, the other 12.99 million were wearing red shirts.

She's as much an unknown variable as every other person in the galaxy you don't know. Of course she is able to kill, but so is everyone who holds a gun.

This is one of those renegade things that's in the game just for the lulz, basically. There's absolutely no sane logic to allowing Samara to kill herself for her daughter, and then killing her daughter.

Sure there is, I respected Samara and her code, I would not intervene because at the time I was sure there would be a serious repercussions for impeding her ability to carry out the code.

I also killed Falere because there was too great a chance that what she experienced could have broker her mind or had long term effects on her personality. For all I knew she could turn into another Morinth.

I feel it worked out okay. Samara wouldn't carry out her code so I did it for her.

I find it hard to believe that you would go out of your way to enforce something from the Justicar code.

Good strategy.
Everyone in the galaxy should light themselves on fire.

1. We all die.
2. Reapers don't get to harvest anybody.
3. ????
4. Profit

Imagine you serve a code that is already breaking apart. You have 3 daughters. You kill one of them, the second dies too which makes your third child almost break apart emotionally. Your code demands to kill her too although you know her intentions are peaceful.

You would seriously rather kill her or commit suicide in front of her rather than breaking your stupid old code?

Well, her code is her life, It's hardly stupid to her.

But really, if you hadn't figured it out yet I was being sarcastic. Guess it doesn't translate well over the internet.

That....doesn't really imply anything at all, just that its curious that one planets' population is incredibly low and the government hates talking about it.

Thats not the impression i got. I mean Samara isn't relegated to the monastery just because she has the gene. Only Asari that are actually AY.

Though i wouldn't kill all of them, kill enough of them to show they aren't all that better than everyone else in the long run.

Does it say anywhere that it's JUST Ardat-Yakshi that become Banshees? Any turian turns into a Maurader, any human into a husk, any korgan and parts of turnians into brutes, any bug thing into ravangers. It would only make sense that ANY Asari sexy pants could turn into a Banshee.

I think its so incredibly strongly implied that it may as well be true. Pretty sure Falare or Rila says something along the lines of "They came here to turn us into those...things".

Then you have to think about the game design itself. The reason why it was a AY monastery that was chose for the location, rather than any other number of Asari worlds, speaks volumes as to their design.

Its like being introduced to the Normandy for the first time, you don't have to be told its special to KNOW its special. In literature you don't just name something "Normandy" casually.

I didn't think it was all that implied, yes they came there to turn them into those things, they are sinient life, they are asari, they are going to turn them period, and they aren't going to be turned into a brute. I believe all Asari are turned into Banshees it only makes sense. Why would they avoid turning the non AYs into stuff? They don't skimp on their free troops, they would turn the non AYs into something, that something never shows up, which leads me to believe that Banshees are just Asari in general regardless of messed up gene or not, and if you think about it, why not hit a nice facility that's not armed that houses a lot of potental troops who are forbidden from fighting back really (they don't recieve biotic training when their condition is found out and they aren't aloud to use their powers in the compound either). That's just a grab bag of troops for them. Just like the reapers taking over hospitals on earth almost immediately, a good fast source of weak beings to take over.

Too bad I couldn't bring Felare with me. Getting myself an Arduct Yakshi while keeping a close eye on her. Instead I let her stay pointlessly in a ruined monastery.

I dunno, the way RIla/Falare say "us" just seems rather telling, along with the location. Those two know they are different, i don't think they would use "us" in an inclusive manner. Even Morinth considered herself apart with her "i am the genetic destiny of the Asari".

I also believe that turning AY's into Banshees exclusively had something to do with the AY's increased Biotic Power compared to ordinary Asari.
