Depends on troop composition, so if it's 8 vs. 8 at a time with respawns for troop and support units allowed... Husk kills Nemesis. Think about it.

Marauder uber-Phaestons rip stuff up. Banshee ineffectual against other boss units, poor damage output, mainly anti-personnel. Brute meatshields against bosses while Ravagers bombard.

More to consider, too lazy though. Need food.

Cerberus the other enemy factions cant penetrate the Guardians shield, so by a slow method of attrition Cerberus wins.

The geth would just stun lock everyone and kill them all.

game fiction vs game fiction, or based on actual in-game behavior / mechanics?

Fiction wise, you gotta go reapers. But game mechanics wise, you got to go collectors. Scion has a prime-like stunlock, and a possessed scion's grenades are going to really mess up the other factions. A possessed praetorian is going to cause a lot of problems for the other factions, and the quantity of abominations and seeker swarms is really going to hamper the other factions ability to be effective.

I would vote Collectors, they will simply pump out the Abombs, that would take care of Phantoms and Banshee's.

Scions have lazer targeting with brutal DBS as does our posossed crab floaters. then if a Prime were to get swarmed he couldn't use his deone and turret, basically he like us is now screwed.

It would be interesting for Geth due to the hunters and the prime stun lock, I forget which developer made a comment long ago their onion was Geth and that was made after Collectors were available.

Geth would probably win, since fighting is hard when you can't move.

Cerberus kicking all other factions.

No troopers can stand against phantom,
Atlas itself is stronger than any other boss units if it`s simple head to head battle.

Turrets creat effective death zone.

I think the geth vs cerberus would be pretty even but in the end got to go with cerberus. Reapers probably beat both geth and cerberus. I do think it would be really funny watching a banshee chase a nemesis around. Overall I don't see the collectors losing to any of the other factions so i would put my money on them. It does make me wonder and this idea comes to mind every time I see one of these types of threads but how hard would it be for BW to actually do something like this? I would love to watch these factions fight each other or allow us to play as those units.

Well, the Geth shamelessly cheat. I don't see how Cannibals could face a triple-tapping Geth Rocket Trooper who spams their bullcrap the instant they spawn, facing the opposite direction and can curve their shots behind soft cover.

Then there's the Geth Prime who can spawn their lulzturrets behind solid walls and keyhole their shots between the smallest spaces from across the map and also curve their shots behind soft cover.

I agree I'd love to be able to spin up a X faction points match and see them go to town on each other.

I vote for either geth (endless stunlock and missiles) or Collectors (depends how clever their opponents are about killing possessed abominations, they might end up with a lot of friendly fire).

Cerberus wins because the AI is stupid, and there are too many Cerberus units that can't be dealt with by stupid AI.

-Guardians.  The AI doesn't have AP, and is too stupid to flank.  Instakills and Praetorian lasers are probably the only things that can hurt them.  Everything else will continue firing at them anyway.

-Atlases and Engineers.  Normally, you kill the Engineers and turrets first and then deal with the Atlas.  The AI will focus on the big robot while the Engineers keep it alive and the turrets cut them to pieces.

-Phantoms.  Phantoms will actually cloak when their barriers go down and heal back to full health.  The AI is incredibly easy to fool with tactical/volus cloak aggro dumping.  This will lead to the enemy faction going herp derp and focusing on the unkillable guardians and atlases again.

The other Cerberus units range from meh (troopers, centurions, and dragoons) to okay (nemeses have high damage, long-range attacks).

Collectors.

People obviously don't realise that players can stunlock far more than the Geth can, and the factions mostly just shrug it off.

Cerberus has the greatest sync kill capabilites in Gold match, those phantoms are so numerous and deadly. And also very few enemies can deal with dragoons properly, not to mention turrets and Guardians. So in the end Cerberus wins.

Scions and Praetorians would eat Phantoms and Dragoons for breakfast.

I have wondered for a couple of days if it would be possible to simulate AI vs. AI scenarios. I don't think it can be done on client side, but perhaps BW could run it on their dev systems.

Then, there is so much knowledge of enemy units that perhaps something simple could be made by curious players.

Geth vs. Collectors actually depends on whether rocket launchers and flamers are considered powers or weapons. If it's former, then several strategically deployed seeker swarms can easily incapacitate Rocket Troopers, Pyros, Hunters and seriously weaken Primes.

Shooting Rocket is obviously not power since the attack has no certain cooldown time.
Geth generally cannot match Collectors because husks(abomination) / Scion combinaiton can easily overwhelm them even primes.

Cerberus/Reapers/Geth are pretty balanced against each other.

Collectors on the other hand can single-handedly battle all 3 at once. It would be more even if the Collector troops and bosses could not be possessed...

Collectors. I always thought they're the "special forces" for the Reapers and the Husks and other stuff are just there to overrun the enemy by force. Think about it, Collectors are genetically engineered to infiltrate and harvest colonists and the Reaper enemy in ME3 is basically just zombie trash thrown at anything that moves. Also, Harby can control Collectors.

So i'd say Collectors > Cerebrus > Geth > Reapers if we consider lore. And i think it's not really that different from in-game.
