An island south of Llomerynn. This word was on devs-promo-hangman-riddle-t-shirts at PAX 2011 when DAII: Exalted Marches expansion was not cancelled yet. So could be counted as Dragon Age III concept now.Reznore57 wrote...
Es...what?
Those late concept art are really good looking.
Wonder if the bridge (is this a bridge?) is part of the Imperial Highway ,the giant statue seems old and in bad shape ...

Oddly enough, the tabard the Ferelden man is wearing here looks more like what the Orlesian guests and servants were wearing in Mark of the Assassin.
Tevinters certainly like their fashion dark and edgy!

Ooooh...looks good, it's different but similar to what I imagined some buildings etc in Tevinter looking like. It does look really neat!

Well, they need to make the whole "evil mages plotting to take over the world" look come across, you know.ReallyRue wrote...

If they keep that in game , it seems like they're really trying hard to give unique visuals now..
I'm not sure how i feel about the pictures...The hats for orlesians /tevinter woman looks ...not really confortable.
I'm a bit shocked about ferelden , I imagined more fur , more northern barbarian ...And the pattern give me a more south american vibe ( Inca/Indian , a bit of turquoise color on the shoulder for the woman ...)
But even if it may not really be my tastes ( well Tevinter looks really cool...) I can really apprecaite that they 're going for something different.I'm surprised actually , which is nice.

I don´t know, I think they are trying so hard to look different that they´ve sacrificed looking natural along the way. And looking different isn´t going to help if the setting still feels more of the same. then the setting will be the "silly looking generic setting" n.5.
I hope those designs are limited to upper nobility. Looking like that is believable in that case.

But yeah I agree some outfits looks more like a Jean Paul Gaultier show than anything ...
But if you look at what Ferelden /Kirkwall noble were wearing in DA:O/DA2 , the same plain outfits...It's still a step in the right direction.
The last two games were very very poor when it comes to how people dress... except followers everyone had a very generic look.

I was hoping for Ferelden clothes to have more fur. I really like some of the fur lined stuff Alistair had in the comics.Reznore57 wrote...

Fashion and Tevinter:
*pic snipped*
While the fashion drawings are obviously highly stylized (which is true of a lot of illustrations geared towards underscoring the impression the fasion seeks to evoke, I think) they actually aren't all that much a departure from RL fashions of different eras, just.. kinda hodgepodged together, lol. You can see a lot of medieval influence in the dress for the Ferelden's, especially the tabard the man wears. The Orlesian clothing is hella close to RL 18th century clothing of the nobility of Europe.Tevinter is a little more confusing... the man seems to draw from an 'arcane twist' on 18th century noblemen garb, the woman... makes me think a bit more of late 19th century Cancan, lol. But a fantasy setting is forgiveable that way and I'd love to see more distinction and stylings in DA3, definitely.
I love the image of the Tevinter arcitecture: Does anyone else get the distinct impression that the building seems to have been molded from the very stone itself/rising up from the stone, strongly implying a heavy use of magic for construction? Or is that just me?

And on-topic-like, is it me, or are BW altering the established Fereldan noble fashion? I don't remember them looking anything like that.

Yes, but the previous Fereldan noble clothes were rubbish.
Though the Fereldan outfits do remind me a bit of the CE's wedding dress.
