His charge always moved slower.

Nothing has changed in it.

OP is either a troll or really just moved up a difficulty.

Also OP have you heard that there are other kind of lags than the cconventional peer-to-host lag? Like server side lag?

i like how you're assuming I've never played before.
My whole question is basically why is his biotic charge, The  delay from when you press Y or whatever button it is for what system you play it on, to actually using the power is way longer then it was a month ago.

it actually completely isn't.

Seems like a smaller player base should REDUCE lag...

You have a very flawed understanding of lag and the network architecture of this game in general if that statement makes sense to you.

Matchmaking is done with EA/BW servers. The games are hosted P2P with a socket held open to EA at all times but that socket is independant of game data being distributed between peers.

It doesn't matter how large or small the player base is, the matches are P2P

This too. You are not immune to processing spikes because you are the server.

But if you asked for my opinion OP is working off of anecdotal personal evidence of how it "felt" a month ago.

That is not very solid evidence, in fact that is likely the closer to the least solid evidence that you could present. Like a few steps below weatherman.

Its always been slow. I never noticed it until I played other vanguards for a while though.

FYI, if you are not host, you cannot actually charge until the request to do so is validated by the host and comes back to you round trip on the internet.

My experience tells me.. less players simply mean there are less games with optimal connection for each player who is on joining side. (non-host)

You sure you haven't specced into carnage instead?
because BC hasn't been changed in the last month.

His Charge was always slow.

I don't think anything happened, but there's been bit of a rollercoaster for game performance (IE: the severity of lag and frame rates), but it's on a high end after 1.05. It's entirely possible. I suppose it's possible during a performance dip to see the animation accelerated to catch up.

EDIT: To clarify: Game version has no impact on your connection to the host. If you've got a poor connection, you've just got one. But in my experience, certain versions of the game have "smoothed out" lag better than others. At launch, even minimal lag could make the game a stuttery mess, but these days I rarely have problems with lag, until it's at the point of rubber-banding between rooms, or seeing enemies walk up ramps into the sky.

...That last one is always hilarious though.

There are three options here:

1. You were on a certain part of the map that wouldn't let you charge (Lots of places like that on Hydra and certain other maps)

2. You have a REALLY bad build/Didn't use proper equipment

3. You're bad and should feel bad.

That is actually quite the valid point that has been raised over the last few posts:

Are you absolutely sure you have put any talent-points into the Biotic Charge ability on your kroguard?

Kroguard is one of the best classes in the game. Host or off host.

You stopped playing bronze and moved to silver?

Err I only play Gold and Platinum?

Either you never played the Kroguard when it came out or you're just oblivious to how much of a tank he 'was'

When he first was released his rage didn't even work properly now it does....we have dismissed your claims.

Welcome to the awesome world of lag. Let me be your guide.

Lag... when I'm host.
If you read what i wrote you would of noticed i said "Even on host"

His biotic charge takes way too long now and his movement speed is now beyond slow. I must of missed some major balance changes when I stopped playing around a month ago.

You can still get lag on host due to the other players.

Why is it so bad now, even host, It's charge takes forever. It's so slow and it just feels squishy now.
What the hell happened to it?

Squishy?  My Kroguard solo from last week.  10 waves survived.  With a Disciple.  L2P

Kroguard, May 2012:

Kroguard, Feb 2013:

Not saying you're lying, but I can't see much of a difference. Both videos are on PC.

there is a noticable difference in those videos with the Time it takes to actually charge. It's small, like 0.5 of second but I can see it. It's not much but I guess Since I haven't played much lately I noticed it straight away though.
Thanks for the refference though!

Remember the vanguard glitch being fixed means playing off host is a bit less responsive for charge. That's possibly the difference between those videos. (I'm not sure if that non-solo one is hosting.)

But OP, it sounds like you've played the Kroguard since Retaliation was released and were happy with it then, but you think it's different now. Like people have said, there have been no changes in that time, so what else could it be but lag? I can't remember when it's rage was fixed but I don't see how that would affect the charge lag anyway.

Actually that non Solo one was me hosting. I was recording at 30 FPS , usually the game runs at 60 FPS and as we now know the FPS have a huge impact on Difficulty and so on , so this might be influenced by my capped 30 FPS aswell. After that video i started recording ME3 in 60 FPS and convert it back down to 30 FPS to not influence the gameplay.
