Soldiers of the Milky Way --
As our fight against the Reapers pushes onward, we've received requests from several N7 operatives wishing for some type of special training or obstacle course be put in place for them to stay sharp during their downtimes, from both veterans wishing to hone their skills and new recruits wanting to test their mettle.
We've asked Lieutenant DragonRacer to use her expertise in Turian military training tactics to devise a friendly competition that would meet your requests. In return, she has designed this tournament. Does your team have what it takes to overcome the Ultimate N7 Gauntlet?

Structure/Rules
~ Teams will be composed of 3-man squads (like Commander Shepard's SP campaign)
~ Teams are allowed to sign up a total of two reserve members. That makes a team total of no more than 5, with no more than 3 being allowed to play any one round for official score submission. This is to account for any back-ups that may be needed due to a primary team member being unavailable to complete a round before deadline. However, once sign-ups have ended, reserve team members are locked in and cannot be used by any other team.
~ Teams must choose a class level and stick with that one through to completion of the tournament (i.e. Bronze, Silver, or Gold difficulty)
~ Teams do NOT have to be composed entirely of BSN members. Only one BSN member is required per team to allow for proper communication (so, yes, invite your non-forum buddies that you play with regularly to join your team)
~ After sign-ups have ended, teams will be locked in for the duration of the tournament. This means that no team member can drop out and be replaced by a different one. So, no, you cannot bring in a "ringer" for you during any particular round. Choose your teammates wisely.
~ 6 round minimum per class level
~ 7 days per round (Rounds start at 12:00pm noon EST on Fridays and end at 11:59pm midnight EST the following Thursday).
~ Once a round has begun, teams may play that match-up as many times as they like while searching for the optimum score before deadline passes. However, once a scorecard has been submitted, that team is locked in and cannot later submit a better scorecard.
~ One screenshot of final scoreboard, plus a list of characters & weapons used by all team members must be submitted (yes, honor system will, unfortunately, be the only way). Screenshots and character/weapon lists should be sent to: theultimaten7gauntlet@gmail.com
~ Total credit amount will be added to the total match score for a combined tournament score. Yes, this means that milking the objective waves may or may not make your final score any better than completing them ASAP for bonus credits would. Choose your strategy wisely.
~ Once drawn, there will be no changing of enemy/map for each bracket. You will play what you are given. If you are unhappy with your match-up, then rise above it and prove yourselves as true N7 operatives. Also, you MUST set your match to your assigned enemy and map. Setting the enemy to "unknown" and trying to trick the system for extra experience points is NOT permitted in this competition.
~ Team with most points advances to next bracket (Silver class level has an exception - see Page 13 for details)
~ All scorecards will be posted - hidden scores will not be allowed
~ Teams unable to provide a screenshot by deadline will automatically lose their bracket. All teams will have ample notification via thread and PM as to when round starts, when 48 hours are left, and on final day of score submission.
~ Final match will be one level harder than chosen class level. It will be a controlled round (i.e. both teams will face the same enemy/map combination).
~ Gear allowed. Consumables allowed. Clever use of game mechanics allowed (i.e. pizza running, reload cancelling, spawn nuking, objective milking, etc.).
~ Any Wildcard slots will be determined once final number of teams are in place per class level (see Page 13 for details)
~ Each round will have a specific theme that recaps a point in ME3 MP history
~ Enemy and map selections will be made by random drawing from a hat by the Tournament Master (that would be me)
~ Rounds 1 & 2 will take place only on one of the 6 original maps and potential enemies will only be one of the original three factions. Round 3 will only take place on one of the Resurgence DLC maps and potential enemies will only be one of the original three factions. Round 4 will only take place on one of the Rebellion DLC maps and potential enemies will only be one of the original three factions. Round 5 will only take place on one of the Earth DLC maps and potential enemies will only be one of the original three factions. Round 6 will only take place on one of the 6 hazard maps and EVERYBODY'S enemy will be Collectors. Final Round has the chance of drawing any possible map and enemy faction currently available.
~ PC, XBox, and PS3 teams can all compete
~ Prizes awarded for each class level will be bragging rights only. You'll also get a nice little forum banner to display in your signature.

Bonus Round
Strictly for fun, the winning teams of each class level are invited to compete AGAINST their own team members to earn the title The Ultimate (class) N7 Solo Artist. That is to say, the winning Bronze class team will compete against each other (the 3 players composing the squad) and the fastest Bronze solo time will earn the title The Ultimate Bronze N7 Solo Artist. The winning Silver class team will compete against each other (the 3 players composing the squad) and the fastest Silver solo time will earn the title The Ultimate Silver N7 Solo Artist. And the winning Gold class team will compete against each other (the 3 players composing the squad) and the fastest Gold solo time will earn the title The Ultimate Gold N7 Solo Artist.
Participation in the Bonus Round is strictly voluntary and does not affect the overall tournament championship.
Round 1 Has Now Started! Team compositions can be viewed here: Google Docs sign-up sheet
