Is it possible to have a duo team ? We thought we'd give it a try. I don't think there is any specific advantage and only drawbacks to be only 2 but maybe we have overlooked something.

What do you think of this ? May we participate ? (if we can't, we'll play each round and post the screenshots here for the lulz)

Should be possible, but not feasible.
Say, every player brings Armored Compartments to the game. If you duo it, you have 8 less missiles (and 8 less spawns to nuke in objective waves) than a full team.

There are a few people here looking for a group. You should give them a try.

Yeah I know it won't be easy and we're likely to lose in the first round. But that's mostly for fun and we'll do all rounds just as if we were actually in the tournament ;p
I mean, if there isn't an even number of teams, maybe we should be playing instead of giving someone a bye !

Well, the 3-man squad was kind of a themed thing and also to make this tournament different from Cory's Army of Two one.

I... don't see where you would gain any advantage by running a man down, so it's probably possible...

Thanks ! The point for us is just to have fun, not to try to exploit any gllitch or something. We wanted to play with another friend of us but he couldn't, so we thought we could give it a try on duo. We would play Silver by the way, we probably would not achieve anything meaningful on Gold.

Like I said, if it's not possible, we'll play all rounds from the sidelines and post screenshots for fun

I am sure if you look around, you can find plenty of folks to play.  If you want to do silver, a duo is doable.  But strategy wise, if you are milking the objectives, it would be better to have 3 guns than 2.

Indeed, but like I said, it's mostly for fun. We've played a few duos using common characters and common guns and it was great

I don't think it does, does it ? Maybe an additional round with only characters/weapons/maps from Reckoning but that's about it I'd say.

Currently, this changes nothing. I suspected Reckoning would get announced soon (didn't expect TODAY; figured it'd happen after the tourney launched), but being brand new DLC, it wouldn't be fair to ask the Silver and Gold teams to have most/all the new content unlocked in time.

At this point, if it gets incorporated, it would be as a bonus round after the final round, maybe running parallel to the bonus round solo challenge.

I understand this.  But I should point out that it will be weeks before this round arrives.  I think that should be plenty of time to unlock a good majority of the stuff.  And we all know we are going to run matches over and over again until we get the score we want, meaning those credits from each attempt will be stacking credits towards it.  But, again I understand where you are coming from on this, so either way, I have no problem with it.

No worries, just asking.  In case you haven't seen then, I believe they start on page 5 or 6.  Just for fun, I don't think anybody will take yours and slap their name on it, lol.

I understand this.  But I should point out that it will be weeks before this round arrives.  I think that should be plenty of time to unlock a good majority of the stuff.  And we all know we are going to run matches over and over again until we get the score we want, meaning those credits from each attempt will be stacking credits towards it.  But, again I understand where you are coming from on this, so either way, I have no problem with it.

I'll maybe make a poll halfway through the tourney and see if people want a Round 7 with Reckoning stuff. If there are enough teams to field an additional round. I'm certainly not against it if the teams participating have what they need by then and are up for it. It would be fitting to squeeze it in somehow since it is the last one.
