also dragon racer in future tournament, i think the smallest margin lost should get the wildcard spot because different maps are easier to get points, for example Glacier is easy to get high points in as seen in our and gamefaq runs, whilst some other maps may be harder to score points in. you said previously that enemy point differentiation isn't much, but looking at scoreboard the map makes a difference to. and top 2 team should get the bye whilst the 3rd and 4th play in rnd 2 instead :P

It is easy on Glacier, so much to kill. Explosions everywhere!!! Did you guys hit the score limit on any objective waves? Just curious.

Yeah. I think we just missed one of them though.

DragonRacer,

Despite a few minor hiccups I think this is a great tournament. Thanks for putting it together!

My comments on the bracket were intended as helpful advice for the future, not complaints about the present. I think you are doing a fine job. :D

Oh, I know your intention was to help and give thoughts towards a future tourney. We're cool, Slother. *brofist*

Fun fact : Daylight Saving Time applies tomorrow in the US but not in Europe. Therefore, instead of a 6-hour difference between EST and CET, there will be only 5 hours between these 2 timezones until DST applies in Europe on March 31st.

So for example, when a round ends on a Thursday at 11:59pm (~midnight), it will be 4:59am on Friday in Europe. Good to know for those of us who like to submit scores at the very last limit :P

That is GREAT info to let everyone know. Thank you for posting it. As a self-centered world-revolves-around-me American, I didn't even think about our turning the clocks back tonight messing with the tourney, but you are right. Oops. Размещенное изображение

I will still do the 48-hour countdown and 12-hour countdown PMs to try and help everybody have a good grip on how the tourney timeline is corresponding with their own timezone. Размещенное изображение

Well, I thought it would be of very little incidence because of your posts and PMs and also because I don't think there are that many people who play around 5am in Europe :P But yeah, it might affect other countries like Australia.
By the way, here's a nice Wikipedia article listing when DST is applied for which country.

You know what? I honestly believe you will get the top score. We will see though, a lot of talent to go around.

Yes,
in hindsight, I agree with both of those. Especially after that mere
1,000-point loss by Team Nephilim... under better rules, they definitely
would have deserved another shot.

But it is what it is. We learn and move forward the better for it.

Althoug it was our only run (technically two but I will explain latter on), they actually do deserve the win we did everything to maximise points yet we barely beat them. The only big mistake we did was to rush the objectives (not that we dislike to have the hacking twice in the worse position) and lost quite a lot of time because of a phantom and... an atlas whom executed my two team mates (one tried to rez the other and ended up being killed). I must say we had so much fun though during that game thanks a lot.

Funny fact, on our first try, we were doing extremely well until a unwante guest joined up our private run. Ruining our efforts... so advice to all, put yourself on invisible so none of your friends randomly joins up your game. :D

BTW Congrats to the other teams some are monsters! :o

Have yet to get together with the team. I blame Tomb Raider 2013, a stomach bug and the last SP DLC making me lose interest in ME3 entirely. Can't really say I'm sorry. This game (the MP aspect) chewed up 2 hours per day, every day, over the last year since release. I'll still dust off the old guns for weekend challenges, and of course will strive to win the Silver competition, but I'm not going to be online every night like in the past.

We have our work cut out for us though. I see from our Round 1 results that my team was waaaaayyyy too efficient at killing things. We need to slow down and do the flashier cover grabs and so forth to score higher scores, not just farm objective rounds.

We finished one game and was like "lol that sucked"

Then we all changed characters and ended up fairly surprised.

Luckily my team got our characters right for the first time, and I think we ended up with an "okay" score, and that is what we will have to submit; we can't really play in the weekdays.:?

We did some tries today. Those were fun, though not what we expected.

There was this one round where one of us started to have lags (ping: 1900 +- 400) - sounded like a geth talking to us. :D  Then there was this round where we all died. Ah, well. It was fun. :D

Our tests of yesterday weren't good. We have yet to find a way to make a lot of points !

I hope we'll be ready with a high score for the submission time...

I think we'll have hard times versus your team ! ;)

We're going to try to make it as hard as possible. ;)
First I was like "Yay, good combo" - now I'm not that sure anymore, given the available weapons and chars. But figuring it out is part of the fun.

BTW :  I just looked up what "Canard Jaune" is - and had a laugh, when pictures came up. Nice name. :D

CanardPC is a french videogame PC newspaper and a board with a big community. We are more or less 12 Mass Effect 3 multiplayer active players.

We made 2 teams.

CanardPC Force Jaune for Gold Challenge
CanardPC Force Rose for Silver Challenge

The "Force Jaune" and "Force Rose" means Yellow and Pink forces, and it is a french reference to "Power Rangers" (The Yellow and Pink girls)

You know, I had been wondering what the story was behind your two teams. I mean, it was obviously a united front of some type, but thanks for sharing the name and story!

Alright, I think we've got a result that we're satisfied with. Obviously being Geth on Reactor we got off to a shaky start, but now we have a result that we're quite proud of. Gonna be pretty busy with IRL stuff on Wednesday and Thursday, might have time to squeeze in a better game, but, well...

Less than 48 hours remain...

You have roughly 41 hours left to complete Round 2 of the Ultimate N7 Gauntlet and submit your scorecard and list of characters/weapons used by all team members. Round 2 ends 11:59pm EST Thursday night.

Submissions should be sent to: theultimaten7gauntlet@gmail.com

Also, this thread went from 5 stars to 4? I'm wounded...
