He should definitely be suspended. He did it once and got a warning, do it twice and you're out.

I'm not saying that he does it, but still... I just don't know what could be done.

I did (prior to our start of the round against his team) and still do feel he should have done the honorable thing and dropped out of the tournament after making an arrangement with the tournament master for a replacement. It's just my opinion as I am far from perfect however I do not cheat in game or life, it tarnishes the tournament. My attitude right or wrong, if one cheats at one thing, it's probably only the tip of the ice burg.

If he did, his team mates may or may not have known about it. I don't want them unfairly punished if they are blameless, but neither their innocence or guilt can be proven.

Would it make sense for Link's team to forfeit this round but be allowed to pick up a new team mate and continue the tourney? Might require some reworking of the bracket.

I had wanted to wait until all things were in place before making the official announcement, but I see that at least the first part needs to be addressed immediately.

N7-Link is no longer a part of this tournament, effectively immediately.

Due to the extenuating circumstances, I have allowed Team Last Minute to seek a replacement. BACON4BREAKFAST will now serve as their third squadmate, effective immediately for Round 3.

As far as the teams that played against Team Last Minute in Rounds 1 and 2. Their Round 1 opponent earned a Round 3 Wildcard slot, so things came out fine in the wash. There may be an adjustment made to the remaining Round 4 Wildcard bracket, however, that has not been completely determined yet. I will announce changes to that bracket - if any - when I am able.

It's certainly been an... interesting... two weeks.  At least I had public relations experience to fall back on, although I have gone through more antacid tablets than normal.

All right.

The second part of today's decisions has been made. Due to Link's ejection from Team Last Minute and the question mark created about the past rounds due to that, the Soldiers of Fortune (who were their opponent in Round 2) will be granted an automatic seed in the remaining Round 4 Wildcard bracket.

That means that, due to the extenuating circumstances, I am revising my Wildcard bracket rule. That remaining bracket's final slot will be filled by the highest-scoring losing team of Round 3. The second highest-scoring losing team of Round 3 will join the eliminated.
