Here's how it went for us :- Cerberus/Reactor/Silver using common char + common weapons. We used 2 Human Adepts with Predators. The idea behind this is kills with powers grant ~20% more points, so Singularity/Warp/Shockwave were a nice choice. Novaguards were another obvious choice but neither of us are too keen on using this class. We had issues surviving waves and getting killstreaks but overall it was fun
- Reapers/Glacier/Silver using unco char + unco weapons. Ahhhh, Glacier
Again, the +20%ish bonus granted by power kills made us go for the Drelldept + Asariguard combo. Using Tempest with Incendiary ammo, things detonated everywhere. Our highest score in the tournament. - Geth/Condor/Silver using Resurgence chars. Well, my melee Kroguard was obvious here and Jago opted for the Geth Engineer. Condor is bugged as hell and it was a lot of trouble ; we ended up using our first or second attempt's score IIRC. Not as fun as the previous 2 rounds but we were almost sure to be qualified since our opponent had not posted any score for the previous round.
- Cerberus/Goddess/Silver using Rebellion chars. Rebellion characters are definitely not our favourite ones but we tried using the previous idea that power bonuses are awesome and started using Phoenix Adepts. Turns out I was wrong ! After many low-score attempts, we basically said "well, **** this, let's use QMIs with Piranhas or Harriers". Turned out DPS was king even on Silver ! A nice surprise here.
- Reapers/Vancouver/Silver using Earth chars. This time, we tried various combinations inviolving at least 1 Destroyer (me) ; turned out thr Paladin was the better choice. Not our best round ut I liked trying out the Destroyer !
- Collectors/Hazard Ghost/Silver using Retaliation chars. Using the TGI/Harrier here was a no-brainer. Hazard Ghost didn't help us much for the waves survived medals. Not our best round either, despite the decent score : we could have gotten more than that because of the +15% bonus granted by the hazard map.
- Reapers/Goddess/Gold. Well, that was a tough one
I would have preferred Geth and Kroguar'd everything but we ended up with Reapers on a map with no slope or stairs. So we turned to DPS again and chose good ol' EDI with Reegar. She did deliver but we weren't able to play as much as we wanted and it was obvious we wouldn't score high anyway. I think we could have gotten past the 400k barrier with a good game but probably not be able to reach 450k because of the lack of missiles on extraction wave.
