signed up. also what is alternate team player GT?
Dragon made a change to allow 5 players to be part of a team however only three can be part of a match, some due to work, school etc. may not be able to play in a given week so an alternate can step in for them

POINTS PER MINUTE
I.e. divide total team score by minutes spent in game - that will reward the most efficient team, I think.
Just throwing it out there.

Actually, that column apparently got added as a joke by somebody (judging by the "sign-up" name they put several rows down. I have deleted it. List your alternates as part of your team in the appropriate column.

DragonRacer, I have a suggestion how to balance time and total score, and hopefully curb objective milking:
POINTS PER MINUTE
I.e. divide total team score by minutes spent in game - that will reward the most efficient team, I think.
Just throwing it out there.
That's actually the exact formula I am discussing with a few others. (experience points) divided by (match time), and not even factor in credits. That would likely be the easiest and fairest way to balance points and time, which is what I would like to do (with swinging too far into either objective milking or speed running).
As I mentioned earlier, I'll make a final decision later today and post any more amendments, and then we shall be done and locked in for rules.

I was thinking something simpler like 5kpts for every min faster than the other team.
I've not had time to think of good numbers. But I only think time should be a relatively small factor
Tis nothing huge but for example;
a team that gets 400k in 40 mins vs a team that gets 360k in 30mins
the lower scoring team gets 50k bonus for 10mins faster - so win
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Btw - does common character mean vanilla human? Or one of the original pre-dlc characters?

Wouldn't PC get an advantage if time is factored? I think adding the credits after taking XP divided by time is a good formula. You can either round it to the closest minute or just disregard the seconds and go with minute only. I did a bit of maths on my break and here is what I have. Match A) XP is 367292, time is 29 minutes, credits is 77400. So 367292/29+77400=90,065. MatchXP is 406859, time is 33 minutes, credits is 69000. 406859/33+69000=81,329. Same map, enemy. Match A didn't milk wave 3 hence the 4 minute time difference between the 2 matches.
For carrying the pizza objectives they definitely would, dunno about everything else though.

We need more teams! Don't be shy folks, jump in, the water's just fine.
I suspect some may be holding back to see what the final decision on points will be. Which I don't blame them, but that's also why I will be coming to a final decision tonight and making it clear. That way, there should be nothing holding teams back aside from finding teammates.

Thinking it is a direct reference to how the manifest is structured....so yeah, Vanilla Human

Doesn't work like that. The teams facing each other get the same map/enemy. So no map advantage there.

Direct reference to manifest. Common characters would be the vanilla humans and common guns would be the starter guns. Uncommon characters would be the silver cards from the veteran packs (like in the manifest). Same for the uncommon guns. Everything else is based on the DLC releases, and final round is anything goes.
So, yes, for anyone wondering, that does mean the rare and ultra-rare characters/guns that were available BEFORE the DLCs won't be available to be used until the final round.

I personally feel you should leave the score system you have in place. If you do the whole points per minute thing, it will turn into speed running.
Agreed, if it's a speed run contest, it's not for me...been there done that and didn't really like it.
There is a benefit to PC vs Console on time and I forget why.

Retracted - thank you for enlightening me sir! Reading comprehension is a great thing! Still don't like the score per minute idea though, just being stubbornish about it.

Don't think you are being stubbron, I think it would change the spirit of the contest, how many enemies can you kill in a match to how well do you know the spawns based on strategic placement and can you wipe 10 waves of them with 24 rockets......to me that is what it boils down to. It takes the skill out of using these vetran kits and weapons that are not exactly easy to play at the higher levels.
Just my opinion, decision should really be made by what the community thinks.

Is there a Team running the behind the scenes, with a first and second lieutenant? In the event that someone has life distractions.
Would it be possible to address the length of the competition by declaring a winner of the round, with a banner specifically for that given round. each tier having a tint of the difficulty color, eg week1 champion silver tinted fade on corner for silver champs. and then a grand champion banner round?
Like this-
Round 1: Becomes Week 1 Champion -Available to all
Round 2: Becomes Week 2 Champion -Available to all (possible exclusion of Week 1)
Round 3: Becomes Week 3 Champion -Available to all (possible exclusion of previous weeks winners)
Round 4: Becomes Week 4 Champion -Available to all (possible exclusion of previous weeks winners)
Round 5: Becomes Week 5 Champion -Available to all (possible exclusion of previous weeks winners)
Round 6: Becomes Week 6 Champion -Available to all (possible exclusion of previous weeks winners)
Final Round: Becomes Grand Champion - Available to weekly winners only *see need of excluding winners from winning more than 1 round, though they can play and post scores.
All around Champion -will detail in another post if there is interest.
Bonus Round (Solo) : Same as OP
