Idunno about that; Pirahna gives it a pretty good run for it's money. Bigger clip with no EM, much faster firing rate, and I believe more damage (atleast as long as the talon doesnt have the heavy barral I think it does.)

EDIT: Oh, and, it can also provide a 50% melee bonus, have a piercing & damage increasing mod, and be made more accurate. Also it's very light and is suitable for any class.

Hard to argue with. Rarely use it though. Needs a scope unless I'm playing aggressively and I don't like scopes. I'll take the Wraith over it, no hip-fire accuracy penalty and not that much heavier. First UR I got though, good memories.

I love it but too heavy, not as versatile. Sure you can't run it on a power spam character and do okay but the talon runs just as well and gives you more power usage.

depends on which character it is used on. I would argue that the PPR on a destroyer is the better choice for example....certainly MUCH better at DPSing than the Talon on that character. Builds can change what is best.

The limiting factor with the Piranha is it's range. If you're running a charcter that is tanky and can take abuse to be close to the enemy or running a character with accuracy increases, it's fine but again not as versatile on all kits. The Talon is so damn good, I'm surprised there aren't a thousand nerf threads for it over the Harrier.

It's light, applies ammo really well, strips shield very well, and turns headshotting into easy mode.

Again all around utility. And I do love the PPR but the Talon is a better all around weapon.

Harrier. Doesn't need a scope to wreck at range.

Hurricane. Better weight-for-DPS.

I agree, have always been in favour of the Talon.

Sure it's not strictly speaking "the best" at anything - not the lightest, not the longest range or largest clip, doesn't deal the most damage, not the easiest to use compared to say the reegar, etc... but it's the best overall compromise and works on any character with any build.

Edit: Light enough for any caster class, high enough damage for a weapon based class. Wraith with SC has better accuracy than Talon with Scope.

I run a fitnessless-demolisher with just a reeger and I do fine on open maps like rio and ghost. one of the most damaging builds I have ever tried.
havent tried against collectors, but its amazing to think that she can use her powers as freely as she wants regardless of how many seeker swarms they throw at her.

I have in on X meanwhile. I use it with smart choke and armorpiercing on my drellguard and still have a reload of 200 % And with an trick u can reload it while charge.

I used to think that the reegar was the most amazing weapon ever, as it helped me to make the move to silver and accomplish solos. But yeah I usually slap it on non-squishy characters. Don't really use it on caster characters as well (or can you?).

Can't wait to try the Talon! Just unlocked it. I really love the Hurricane as well. Useable on all characters!

The Harrier is the best overall weapon. High accuracy, low recoil, high DPS, medium weight. Only drawback is spare ammo, and that's highly manageable.
