Harrier. Doesn't need a scope to wreck at range.

Hurricane. Better weight-for-DPS.

Harrier is a good argument if it is used properly. The ammo thing is overstated because it is accurate and deadly if burst fired and really isn't that much of an ammowh0re as some make it out to be. The weight would be my chief complaint about it but it's pretty decent as well but the talon is still better weight wise, at stripping shields and applying ammo powers. One talon shot to a maruader with incendiary strips his shields and applies the ammo power for an immediate FE.

Hurricane is probably the weapon with the best argument. Insanely high DPS, low weight, works well on any class whatsoever. Only argument against it would be it is more difficult to tame without consumables, class stability, or stability mods on it and it has a little issue hitting things at range. The other issue is it is hard to level for some.

You can only get it with weekend ops, so I'd say its difficult for everyone.  I like the Talon too I just don't put it on too many kits because I like to spread my weapon use out.

Avenger. After all, it is deadly on full-auto.

Harrier, and it's not close. The thing works at any range, in any situation, on any character. It can do headshots, eats up bosses, has practically no recoil and is relatively light - no other gun is as versatile and as good for literally any circumstances. It's a no contest.

Claymore.....It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right.

Hurricane. Recoil aside, I have no idea why the nerfvultures aren't circling this thing. Imo, if you can mitigate the recoil, pound for pound (kilo for kilo?) it's better than the Harrier at close to mid range. It's about the only weapon I like on my og Turians.

Hard to argue the talon. Goes on most my chars. Easily manage long range encounters as is.. toss a scope on it and it may as well be a sniper rifle. Unless I want a 50% melee omni, then the wraith is up.

Back when I played alot of silver player I really use to think the harrier was the beez knees. Once I started really only going gold/plat I realized it's really only truely amazing on the TGI. I've tried the harrier on most and can do - and do, do better with other weapon choices than the harrier. Besides, as decent as the harrier is the lack of ammo when say, holed up in a hack may just be your undoing. I find it funny sometimes when I get sync'd and watch in ghost cam someone shooting and shooting away at something... and I think to myself man, hes taking an aweful long time to drop that w/ that harrier eh?

Hurricane is good, if you can mange the recoil. But still, while you must spray and pray with a huricane a single talon shot to dome will pops heads.

IMHO any gun that can 1 shot is > any other gun that requires many shots and the lighter the better too. Talon X is pretty friggin light. Alot of characters are at 180-200% at low levels with nothing even in passive dmg/capacity. Plus options for ULM for weak kits like volus.

nah, it's Hurricane.

if the recoil bugs you, slap on a stability mod - boom, perfect weapon

it's good for casters AND weapon users

Agreed. It works with practically anything.

We might not want to draw any attention to its OPness though.

All great guns mentioned here (ehm...most of them), but some have small drawbacks that
exclude them from all-rounder category.

Harrier - great, except the ammo (that hacks with no box around, especially on Plat).
Claymore - great, but not truly all-rounder.
Reegar - range.
Hurricane - needs stability to become allrounder and most of the time theres no room for stab-mod.
Talon - closest to that title, but also effective range.
Piranha - range.

How did noone say CSMG...also has some drawbacks, but for me the winner.
Great damage, range, stability, no ammo need....only the ability to avoid overheating is needed.
Closely followed by Hurricane, Talon and Harrier (yet Crusader and Valiant come to mind).

The CSMG is more a niche weapon than an all around weapon. Not many people understand how to use it properly yet either. It has good damage against armor and good ammo application but isn't remarkable in DPS. It is amazing on a Drellguard or most classes that have ammo/power synergy like engineers but not an all around champ to me.

Wraith X
Dat smart choke and high velocity barrel.
30 shots is ample, surprisingly lightweight, great damage , ITS GOLD.
