I still haven't completely adjusted to the delay, but I'm becoming more proficient with the weapon. I can say that I no longer dread getting it in packs any more (although I still only want Hurricane upgrades).

My favourite promotional weapon after Valiant.

The Crusader has always been decent, you just had to know how to use it. I use to use it all the time on my KroSent all the time, though I've since found better weapons for that class. I'll have to revisit it.

Are you sure that it isn't that it aims exactly where the crosshairs are when you pull the trigger, but the shot does not occur until .2s later and anything that happens with the aiming in that time is irrelevant?Dunvi wrote...
1st of all, it's not an firing delay, it's an aim delay. It fires when you pull the trigger, and lands exactly where it was aiming... .2 seconds in the past.
That is what Bioware claimed, and obviously that behavior is different than what you stated. Meaning that if its point of aim is on when you click then rapidly changing aim is irrelevant as long as you are on when you hit the fire button / pull the trigger. And why they say there is no reason to bother fixing it.
If it is really simply delayed in the past from when you click Fire, it would probably actually get fixed.

Seriously, this is like arguing with people saying you should use the revenant with scope and stabilizer.
Aim delay is a killer as well. I swivel around and shoot, why in the **** doesnt it go where i shoot it?

Everyone knows AR Scope is better than AR Stability Damper for the Revenant.DHKany wrote...

The draw backs? Slow rate of fire. If you are not perfectly locked onto a target you will miss even from point blank range. And it's easy to run out've ammo. Other the that, I love the weapon. I have been using it on my Vorcha Sentinal since I really don't have to worry about power recharge. Just run up to baddy, flame to face for a second, then either throw grenades for fire explosion, or shoot them in the face while they do the poo poo pants on fire dance.

Looks like everyone missed the bit about staggering powers.
Exactly, even a cheap projectile power that gets enemies to dodge will give you plenty of time to line up a shot. I was under the impression that this was a common practice with lots of slow powerful weapons, why is it so foreign to do this with the crusader?
Maybe because it might not be such a common practice?

I use my Crusader on my asari huntress with omniblade and hvb
Yeah, this is my build also. I use a melee hybrid build. Works very well. Your cooldown is always 3 due to TC.
Really, I think the main role of the crusader is that you can mount an omni-blade on it and still have decent firepower at range. With any other shotgun your sacraficing either the heavy barrel or smart choke. I use an powerless KSen, so that is another charachter who gets use out of it.
Basicly, any charachter where you want to melee things and don't mind the cooldown, this can be a good choice. Which isn't many, but it's fun in those case.
I don't find the delay to be much of a problem except with very high lag, and I almost never host.

I host a majority of my games, and when I'm not host, I tend to have a great connection to the host (because my wife's hosting). I'll try a random PuG with it tonight and see how it fares.
But I thought that there are no dwarf women?!
On-topic though, the only reason I don't use it is because I can't. I know how much power it has, I just can't harness it for the life of me.

Umm, what shot delay?
The Crusader does not fire at what you are aiming at, but what you were aiming at 0.2 seconds before. It's only an issue when you have lateral movement.

It is a Shotgun that doesn't act like any other shotgun and it is easily replaceable as a sniper rifle. Bad category to be in with as many weapon choices as we have.
