A bit like most of the arguments for Synthesis and Control.

"Each of us needs to be willing to die to save humanity. Anything less...and they've already won!"
"Never before have so many come together from all quarters of the galaxy. But never before have we faced an enemy such as this. The Reapers will show us no mercy. We must give them no quarter. They will terrorize our populations. We must stand fast in the face of that terror. They will advance until our last city falls, but we will not fall. We will prevail"

You're just bitter that Synthesis and Control pickers are content with their ending.
Enjoy your rubble and the empty hollow feeling that comes with it.

Very true. However after 25 Destroy playthroughs I needed a change, so went happy ending High EMS Destroy aka MEHEM.
I am happy that others like the other endings but feel that Destroy is the best option for how I play, and I'm not going to apologise for it.

Ironically the one Shepard I have who would embrace both Control and Synthesis as great options happens to be the only one for whom Destroy would provide no conflict at all, because he gives a **** about synthetics. I kinda wish I could've played him in ME3.

What empty, hollow feeling?

I'm not bitter at all. I find it hilarious that people can be coerced into doing something they had no intention of doing for over 150 hours by two minute conversation with the galaxy's biggest mass murderer.
Two minutes of vague assurances and platitudes from the being that literally tells you it is the master of the Reapers, and not only do you betray everyone you've ever fought for, but you actively manage to convince yourself you're doing the right thing.
Kudos, Bioware. It's magnificent.
If you were truly content with your ending, you wouldn't have stepped foot in this thread and attempted to so desperately defend it.

And if you were so content with yours you wouldn't feel the need to **** on the two other endings to feel validated for your choice.

Destroyers are just nerds who can't accept that other people may have different opinion.

Just like those Control and Synthesis people who accuse Destroyers of being genocidal Luddites. Or those Refusers who accuse all the other ending people for conforming to the Catalyst's whims.
Any more blanket statements you want me to refute?

Refuting blankett statements with more blankett statements?
Seems legit.

Oh we can accept that other people have opinions, alright. No problem there.
It's just hilarious when those opinions are clearly wrong.

You know, if you're going to strawman my case, the very least you could do is make me laugh.
Or actually read what I wrote.

Yeah...not all of us are bigots. Some of us are very respectful. You think Controllers or Synthesizers are any different? There is bigotry on all sides of the table.

I believe in an objective moral standard that applies to the Reapers as surely as it does other species. But that same moral standard also says we don't execute the mentally ill or impose capital punishment when other means suffice for containing the threat.Ieldra2 wrote...
When you justify Destroy like this, you are invoking karma as your main rationale. I submit that karma is irrevelant when compared to the future of galactic civilization. It is also inappropriately applied to entities whose nature does not include a social conscience.dorktainian wrote...
Yeah. Once more unto the breach........
Destroy the reapers.
Destroy those who have been murdering trillions of innocent creatures over the millenia.
Destroy these abhorrent monstrosities.
Until the last one of them is gone from our galaxy. Make them pay for what they have done.
Anyone with me?

No I really don't actually. I haven't even done it in this thread. I'm getting tired of you harrassing me though.
