Making a Valiant buff thread again and I'll keep bumping this for a whole week. 

Valiant needs a similar niche as the Valkyrie. Designated headshot sniper.

Yeap. Krysae. And other raw power snipers can kill with body shots.

Not really, Javelin and BW both don't really need the headshots, although not getting a 20 HS medal still puts you to shame ^_^

After BW gigabuffs (buffed by over 40% + shield gate modifications) the Valiant lost a lot of appeal.

EDIT: Oh, and the regular Widow, but I guess nobbody uses it once you level up the BW/ El Javelino

I don't know, I think it does good damage with headshots. It's when you don't hit the head when it really sucks, and I mean REALLY SUCKS.

Well, personally I'd rather a buff like that go to the mantis or other common/uncommon weapon. Too many overpowered rare weapons as is.

Well it should REALLY reward headshots. It's made for that purpose.

Mantis is the best common weapon there is. Valiant is a Promo gun, means rarer then Ultra-Rare. And it's never been buffed. Ever.

Well it should REALLY reward headshots. It's made for that purpose. 


I find headshots to be a luxury in most situations in this game. When I shoot mooks in the body and it takes away 1 or 2 bars, it hurts.

So? DPS will stay the same. Only good eye and steady hand will be rewarded more.

I prefer the Widow. There's just something about that gun I can't help but like. I can even make it black if I want.

No. It's already incredible, even for headshots, and it isn't worth the risk of a potential damage nerf.

Headshotting with a Valkyrie is also easier than with an Argus. Valiant needs some kind of edge.

Valiant is one of the easiest weapons to get multiple headshots with and can do it with a single clip. If you can get that first headshot, the 2 shots that follow will likely do the same. Don't think it needs any more boosting to headshots than it has. If you want more, I'd suggest using a character that gets more or using the Vulnerability VIs that tend to just collect dust.

Still, a buff to the Valiant isn't out of the question I don't think. Headshot bonus might be acceptable, but I think a 4th shot would make it different enough from other snipers to give it that edge and that would even give another chance at an easy headshot.

Things usually die when you headshot with a Valiant. It's also got no recoil and a fairly fast fire rate IIRC
