Yeah, I liked it too. I like the DA movie as well. I mean, it's not the greatest thing ever, but it's entertaining. There are some continuity errors, but I can ignore them.

It's nice to see ME in another medium as well, and what's going on in the galaxy without Shepard around. I can see why he's a bit messed up in ME3. He had some illusions of Shepard or what being a hero is.

I will say that the BSN complaints probably helped me enjoy it more.

After having read multiple BSN reviews that slammed it, I went into it without any expectations. I think expectations are often what set people up for disappointment. To my surprise, it was a lot better than advertised. I wouldn't say it was amazing, but beneath the anime cheese was a mildly entertaining flick. And I thought they did a better job with Vega's backstory than they did with any other character's backstory that was explored in other media. (all of the comics)

I'm totally ignorant but I would never even bother touching Paragon Lost because I assume it's also written by japanese people and usually that means awkward logic that doesn't make sense to me.

Out of curiousity, what takes longer? Watching the movie, or reading the OP?

I liked the movie. Even though I knew to some degree Vega had made a terrible decision and gained valuable Collector intel (which turned out to be redundant) it still didn't dawn on me until the ship crashed and all the civilians died. I was in shock. It's such a cliche to save the civilians in that scenario and sacrifice your "loved one" or whatever, that when it happened I still couldn't believe it. No sugar-coating of it, either. Last thing you see of them is the little girl realizing Vega abandoned them. Rough stuff, and fitting for ME3, I'd say.

The only part I didn't like was the fact that there needed to be a love interest in the first place. Why not have him just make the choice between the data and the colonists? It just bugs me that in most action movies, the (male) protagonist is always trying to save the girl. Though in this case, the fact that he had to sacrifice the "many" for the potential "more man" curbed my disdain somewhat.

I thought Paragon Lost was really bad, which was a disappointment in particular because I really enjoyed Dawn of the Seeker.

I have it on Blu-ray. It's not worth watching a second time.
