At least the old straw man "they got outscored" is still alive and kicking. Sigh.
Why exactly do people still want nerfs?

That's all there is to it. I use all the weapons and classes and there arn't any OP ones anymore. Bunch of crappy ones, but all the op ones have been fixed at this point.

No problem. Those are fairly easy logical fallacies to get involved with unless you make a conscious effort to avoid them.

Nah, the latest ones are simply examples of non sequitur and argument by laziness, don't be fooled.

- They have a maxed manifest. They do not want rare weapons to be as powerful as their Ultra rare guns
- They were indeed outscored by a build they feel any noob can master. Their usual, tired argument is "I always see Reegar, Harrier, TGI, Kroguard, blah blah".
I usually just ignore their complaints and move on with my day. No one is going to tell me how to play. If I feel like using a TGI+Harrier I will use it. They did not buy my copy of ME3. I did and I will play how I want

On a serious note, people have nothing better to do. Reegar has crap range, Harrier a crappy small clip, but a ton of weapons out there could use a little tweaking.

I suspect that this argument stems from a fundamental difference in mindset between people who want a fair game where all options are viable and skill is the sole determinant of efficiency (the nerfers) and people who simply want to have fun effortlessly crushing their enemies with their favorite setups, but I'm not arrogant enough to present my theory as irrefutable fact...
...unlike some people.

The main problem becomes what exactly you mean by perfectly balanced. Because of the way they've designed the game, you can't have something be simultaneously perfectly balanced around bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. Enemy composition is just too different between the difficulties. In the next game, maybe they can tweak difficulties in different ways so that every class can be balanced for every difficulty, but right now, you realistically have to balance towards a specific difficulty. Truthfully, I think Silver and Gold are similar enough that what's effective on one is effective on the other, and I think the game is pretty well balanced on Silver, relatively balanced when it comes to Gold, and is ridiculously imbalanced when it comes to Platinum.DSxCallOfBooty- wrote...
Because the game still isn't perfectly balanced. I see no reason to stop suggesting improvements to the game.
Even if classes are only minorly underpowered in respect to others, wouldn't it be preferable if all of them were equally balanced? If nerfs are required to do this, then so be it.
Granted, I'm more interested in buffs in the majority of cases, there are very few things that I would consider nerf-worthy, and the Reegar and Harrier aren't even among these. (well, the Reegar could stand a very slight weakening, but not much)
We have to use one difficulty as the standard, and it probably shouldn't be the one that the fewest people play.

BIoware seems to prefer Silver, as most people play there, but the community seems to prefer Gold as the standard because it's the difficulty with the best mix of challenge and variety.
