Shepard: Maybe you are right.  Maybe there is still a chance for...... agggg.  The catalyst is too strong. I am sorry, it is too late for me.

Garrus: Its not over yet.  You can still redeem yourself !

Shepard:  Goodbye Garrus,  thank you !

I don't agree with Vigil. From the moment I first met Sovereign, I wanted to understand what the Reapers were and what their purpose was. One reason was for pure curiosity. The other was for strategy; if I could understand them, then I might be able to defeat them, or convince them to stop. I always believed that ME3 would end with a conversation with the Reapers, and that Shepard would have to make a big decision.

Yeah, I would like to understand Sauron. But Sauron was intended to be "pure evil". ME3 confirms that the Reapers are not pure evil.

As for my allies, yeah, I agree with them that the harvest must end. I don't want to be harvested by the Reapers. And I love the characters of the ME universe. Mordin is actually one of my favorites.

I should note that Dragon Age has done something similar with the darkspawn. I just accepted them as pure evil in Origins, but Awakening surprised me with the introduction of the Architect. So now the darkspawn are not as simple as I once believed.

but the blight still happened. lots of dead and transformed people everywhere.

the same in mass effect. it may not want to kill people - only preserve them. but this does not alter the events and outcome. dead people and mindwashed killing machines everywhere.

You'll notice that the (last) Blight is also 100% his fault. He says as much. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, just like the Catalyst and Reapers.

and blowing it all up is..what? Different how? Only repeats the aforementioned  evil stuff.. same evil dressed as acceptable collateral damage. Ignores lore game fact and basically is the Easy Way Out.. that unfortunately, doesm't work..
