There is always some kicking happening every second in this game, so let's talk about WHEN do you usually decide to kick.

For me:

---- Ok, if you leave your mic as "Always On' then please don't play some crappy rap music in the background and just assumes everyone else is going to enjoy it as you do.   So PLEASE use headphones or any sort of means when you put your mic as always on, and try not to chew too much gum or burp too loud after eating.  (I actually heard a kid arguing with his mom constantly through the mic, his mom was trying to get him stop playing and go to dinner.)     K.I.C.K


---- One time a kid entered the lobby and just started to ask people to buy packs for him (Why do I know he is a kid? Cuz he sounds like a 7 yr old girl?), so I told him you can't gift packs to other players in this game, then he was "smart" enough to start asking for my credit card number so he can buy on his own.  K.I.C.K


----- Look, I can say that I'm always pretty friendly to everyone specially the new players, but  when someone enter s a Platinum lobby with a lv3 Avenger and a lv12 soldier and no cosumable equipped at all, I just go WTF all the time.I mean I don't expect you to be super good but wtf you think you are going to do? Go to a nice picnic with your lv3 Avenger up your azz? At least show some efforts man.  K.I.C.K.


----- If you decide to take on a group of banshees and brutes on your own in a platinum/gold game, and gets dropped in the middle of the group of enemies, then scream to the mic for help and start swearing if no one helps you, ok then please just go unplug your computer and F yourself in a little corner. Save me sometime from kicking you. K.I.C.K.


----- You think you are so cool shooting at an Possessed Abomination when there are three of us next to it? I'll forgive you the first or second time, but I'll chop your little toy stick off it happens the third time. K.I.C.K.

----- Melee is cool...specially heavy melee, but if you are using a Human/Quarian/Salarian or any not melee strong char, please do not try to melee everyone single enemy ok? Specially after 4 attempts of trying to melee a phantom and all got instant killed.   Not going to say ...K.I.C.K....but please try not to do this.

----- It is just a game, so why so searious? It's not like you are winning a million dollars or your gf/bf just got raped.

If you are a nice person, being considerate and understanding for most of the time, and willing to learn and try, then no one is going to try to kill you, at least there will be much less people try to kick you.

I really think game reflects reality, a person's way of playing game says a lot about this person. If you are decent dude in real life and decent gamer in games, then I don't see why people going to hate/dislike/kick you.


Sorry for making a long post, please share some experiences if you may.

Does K.I.C.K. mean something different, or was that just for emphasis?

I rarely kick, but when I do it is usually because someone has been in the lobby for 5 minutes and not put on a consumable or gear, and is not readied up despite the other three of us being quite patient.

I am not mad at this person when I kick them: I assume they have been Origin glitched and aren't aware that they are in the lobby, or accidentally went AFK right after searching for a game.

they clearly havnt thought about their set up. an example is people having smg amp when they havnt got a smg equipted lol

another is n7 ranking of under 200 with no weapon upgrades and no equiptment (Gold plus), happy to play silver or bronze with ya tho

no gear bonus - if you havnt got it and your N7 ranking reflects that fair enough, but its free so why not use it =/

Pre-match I rarely kick, maybe for a dumb loadout in combination with a low level. After a game I will kick someone when he has underperformed in my eyes.

If a player is offensive over the mic or taking an age to ready up in the lobby.

No other reason.

I typically don't kick unless someone is being a particularly grating ass-hat or some other equally bad situation. Two come to mind:

1) Person in the party had his mic on and it sounded like the mic had imploded, screeching a horrible static sound for the entire match and even back into the lobby (I periodically turned my sound back on to see if the sound was "fixed", but it never did). Thankfully, the player getting removed from the lobby got rid of the sound.

2) Sitting in the lobby, gearing up for the next match, everyone except one person was ready to go, so the 20 second timer started. It got to about 2 seconds left, before the person flagged as ready, resetting the timer to 5 seconds. Then he flagged off, resetting it to 20 seconds... then back on... then back off... and for about a minute, he kept flagging himself ready and not ready, preventing the match from starting and I KNOW I wasn't the only one getting fed up with this guy's ****. He was kicked soon after.

OT: I hardly ever kick. Usually when I do it's because the host is kicking the player. If its their lobby, then I think that's their right.

When someone is an idiot or refuses to do what I (Politely) ask them to do.

I never kick someone for being new and not having stuff, but for example, if I ask them to put on equipment, and they refuse, THEN i'll kick them. That, or if they're doing absolutely stupid stuff in game or over the mic, that will also earn them a kick.

2 No gear equipped for Platinum
3 Music or annoying background noise coming from your mic
4 Using a mix matched Kit and weapons (Destroyer with only a Widow WTF?)
5 Not conforming with the rest of the team (Picking a Engineer with Overload and using Disrtuptor ammo in a room with 3 Biotic Kits)

1, they don't belong in the game, aka garbage n7/challenge with lvl 1 common weapons.
2, annoying noise in mic
3, they are bad(after one game playing with them)(by bad I mean really bad)

Without playing with someone first:
- Annoying on mic, whether music feedback or squeaky voice
- Low level on a high level game
- No medigel or rockets on Gold/Platinum
- No equipment or only level 1 equipment (the price of admission for my crew to carry someone is decent equipment... otherwise they get booted.

After playing a game with someone
- Refused to do or help with any objectives
- Spent more time on the floor and spectating us
- Refused to use necessary consummables like a rocket or medi gel during an emergency

I haven't run into an griefers or leechers for a long time, so I guess the only time i really kick these days is when I'm making room for a friend and the pug doesn't leave when asked.

If they have a god awful loadout in g/s/b-- ill carry.
If we wipe twice-- I leave.

When someone puts no gear/bonus to enter platinum.
When their weapons suck to enter platinum.
When someone barely does something during a match(any dif) and even refuses to use medigel or revive another and still tries to stay for another round.

On Gold, they have to do something to really ****** me off in the game before. Like never gel. Ever.

On Platinum, I'll kick if the player is clearly new and has a particularly load out. It has to be pretty dang bad, though. Like Avenger IV with no AP of any sort. I don't feel like you're doing this type of player any favors by attempting to carry them.

I've switched characters before and forgot to change my gear (usually grenade upgrade).  Do you atleast say something 1st?
