I guess it depends on us, no? So, let's try to be civil, for a change, and stop discussing unofficial and pirated content.

Updates will come as we have them available. Thanks again to those who have been so understanding. As a writer and a developer who comes here on my free time, I'd really much rather not have to make these sorts of posts.

As AndreaDraco has mentioned, you are free to discuss RtO's delay as much as you like (and we encourage you to do so), so long as you respect the forum rules. I suggest for those looking for more information, Fernando's community update can be found in the sticky thread here:

The last thread did not break any rules. The material was not illegal and no links were being posted.(though I saw one that was promptly deleted, kudos to that moderator)
It is hilarious though that because people continually bring up a colossal BW problem that is bound to be discussed, as in the thing no one is allowed to say on the forums now, and it is locked because you want "respect for the work you do".
How about some respect for the community? The only reason people are here complaining about that is because they still respect bW and the work they do to get off the forums and indulge in the thing we are not allowed to discuss.

Advertizing a pirated version, as it was done in the locked thread, even if no link is provided, can hardly be considered not breaking any rules, can it? BioWare produced RtO and own any copyright on it, and people claiming it's freely available on the net and thereby encourage people to withhold BioWare well deserved money can equally not be considered that respectful, can they? Plz, use your common sense, respect is a mutual thing.
And i don't think it's a colossal problem: delays happen in any kind of business all day. No one want's it to happen, but it can happen cause no one can see into the future. It's bit sad, but that's it. I don't see why people tend to make such a huge issue from this delay.
I for myself rather wait one or more weeks longer and have a bug-free copy of RtO than a bug ridden release on time, so i agree with their decision. And DAO offers enough content and replayability for the time in between

To answer the question posted in the thread title, I'd guess 5 pages at most based on the current topic of conversation.
They do seem to get shorter each time, dont they?

That they do. It's like there's a contest going on for shortest thread about RTO.

Oh, well. These things happen, I suppose. Still, as I'm only about half way through the main game at the moment, I'm not exactly chomping at the bit anyway.
It would, of course, be very nice to know exactly what the problem is, but I respect Bioware's decision to keep that kind of information to themselves.
And, yes, I'd agree with TheGreenLion. I'd like to know when the 'best' time to return to Ostagar would be...

They won't. For there is no bug. Mark my words, When Rt:O will be released, no one at BW will say what bug caused it to be delayed for WEEKS when it was hours away from release. I can't really say what I think that, but it's the elephant in the room that's just calling for attention.
Now the following is just a guess but I believe they're trying to add content to RT:O before its live.
First RT:O is announced with a $5 price tag and one hour gameplay. People complain.
The price tag goes down to $3 but delayed a week or two, less people complain.
Then a few hours before release, its delayed for what may be a month and the price is back to $5. a lot more people complain.
I think they're trying to add something that will justify the $5 price tag without having anyone complain.
With ME2 almost released, and the dragon age expansion this year (maybe in 2 months if its not delayed) putting out a disappointing DLC may hurt sales in the long run. Delayed it a few weeks will cause 2 things
1) They have more time to make it better, increasing customer satisification and putting a higher price tag on it .
2) If the product is bad or not of the quality fans expected, It still will be released after ME2 so day one ME2 sales won't be hurt by disgruntled fans.

Revealing the bug will certainly not decrease the whining [people do love to whine]. It is however very likaly to cause more whining threads complaining that they shouldn't have delayed RtO because the bug wasn't serious enough etc.

definition of redundancy? RtO gripes and conspiracy theory threads. lock 'em all down - nothing is being said here that hasn't been mentioned many, many times before...
Then why post your whinny two cents then? Ignore them if you don't like them, don't need to come here and be a smart ass about it. You are no better than anyone else. We are free to talk about it. Get over it.
