they're not going to release the DLC if it's buggy, and even the leaked version wasn't so buggy, I know of only one major bug (the game crashed to desktop) and that's it...

So, you're basically saying that you have played the leaked version?

BioWare should ban people who already have the achievement from the DLC.

An early version or not, an answer other than...we are looking into it and everything else would be by far better...that is like telling us to shut up. You might be angry that someone leaked your DLC...and bragged that there is not one problem with it...we are pissed that we are sitting here waiting for an answer and we are treated like children.

We -are- working on it.  We're communicating that as much as we are able to.  It is in the final stages of testing as of end of day today.  We're close.  Why, or how, does that make you feel like you are being treated like a child?  Being upset, I can certainly understand - and share the sentiment.

Ah, this gives me hope! *crosses fingers*

Just ignore the haters by the way.  They haven't coded or engineered a goddamn thing in their life and don't know how the corporate world is run

Hasn't your mother told you about what happens when you assume????

Blah blah blah like many others on this forum, you're acting like an annoying ****.  These things happen.  Take it easy.  I want to play RtO as much as anyone else here, but I'm not going to jump down Bioware's throat as I highly doubt the inability to meet their own date was due to neglect, laziness, or sloppiness given the quality of their products.

I've been in their shoes before.  Nothing is more irritating in realizing that you couldn't meet a date largely due to factors outside of their own control (unforseen bugs, management changes their mind, new customer specifications, etc) but still eating crap from 30 different end users from the same company while the culprit (usually management) gets off easy and doesn't have to answer to legions of pissed off people

And the truth is, unless you're familiar with the source code and have a lengthy programming background, you probably WONT understand what the bug is and what it means.  It's that simple.  It'll end up confusing half of the people here and open up to more questions

Blah blah blah....like many others in this forum, you think you can justify and scream at me because I asked a simple question. Grow up....it is silly for you to assume that I have no idea how to code...you do not know me, you do not know what I am capable of or what my degrees are in. Like I said, did your mother ever teach you about what happens when you assume. I asked a simple question, I got an answer, I said okay I wasn't going to argue at now..4:43am because it is pointless to argue on only 3 hours of sleep. Sooo...bite me?

I'm making that assumption, because you wouldn't be asking that question if you did know.

I said I wanted an answer to what was the big problem that delayed something twice...and to not treat us like we wouldn't understand. What is so hard to understand about that? By the great goddess....my dear bambi, I'm not going to fight with you...I'm done with people like you. You win, you have justified yourself by belittling me, you feel better now? Has your e-peen grown yet? Good night. I hope you really feel good about yourself by thinking yourself to be high and mighty.

well now heres what were seeing. since its been 'leaked' its more than likely going to be rushed out the door with the same bugs/problems it had a week ago and now we have buggy content. thanks! goodjob.

you people screw yourselves and then ask why. its so funny.

So you're saying Bioware is lying for having just posted that te leaked version is incomplete and they have been working on the DLC and that they are not going to rush the release?

what would you say?

I second this. If you have the achievement already you should be banned.

It's highly probable and in fact makes me feel better about Bioware. Quality first, profits be damned basically. Even if it's last minute we'll still fix it. You should get value for money afterall right.

would say there was a problem in the coding, probably the integration onto the game or world map, and probably dealing with the epilogs, or the achievements.

BUT there PR sucks, and ether there masticates, lets face it no news it getting them more **** than just saying what’s wrong.  Or really don’t know how to handle what’s going on.

I’m not apart of there PR, so I can’t say, I can only make a guess based off the information handed to me.

Meh. . .  If Bioware didnt FUBAR than we woldn't be talking about it now would we? Is it a loss yeah, should something be done about it, maybe, but if your chain of custady is not safe and people get in you really only have yourself to blame.
I would like to point out there are ways to get Achievements with out playing the game, so that can't really be used to say who has it and who does not.

Ever been to WoW forums when things go wrong?

Whining upon whining upon whining without any word from Blizzard (Europe for me). Well, maybe a lock or ten.

In the short time that I've been on these, and the Mass Effect forums I've been blown away by the involvement Bioware has with their costumers.

I'm usually the first to 'Stick It To The Man' so to speak, but the Bioware peeps I've seen in here actually do seem to care. I'm sure a lot, if not all of them come in here past office hours.

So, give them a break. I'm 100% sure missing a deadline, for whatever reason, is a 1000 times more stressful for them than it is for you. (a general you, not targeting anyone in specific) :)

I'm sure they have good reasons for delaying the release. I can wait a bit longer. Though I do hope hope they release it soon. But people will complain as they do. Yahtzee said it best

"Fans are whiny clinging dip****s who will never be pleased with any concession you make. The sooner you drown out their shrill tremulous voices the happier you’ll be."

That's misquoted IMO. He was referring to unjustified complaints and ideas of what the game should be like. For example if i said

"Mages should have back stab skills!" or "Omg nerf mages" or "Omg too many warriors"

not nearly the same as

"Why is the DLC delayed last minute?"

Well as I said I'm sure they had a good reason. It's not like they delay it just to annoy us, and complaining about it achieves nothing except annoying them. From the sounds of it there was probably some bugs and they'd rather hold of releasing it till they fix it rather than releasing a broken product which sounds reasonable enough to me. I'm sure waiting a little longer isn't going to hurt anyone. If they had released a broken product people would have complained about that. Either way they’d have people complaining to them so the quote works to that quite well.

Some people just want to protect their investment.

I hope that some kids here who bought DAO with Daddy and Mommys money realize that.

I just had a crazy thought, how would Loghain and Anora react if you walked up to them wearing Cailan's armour during the official campaign?

Grey Wardens - Looters of dead Kings!

Yay, Loghain is right, they are traitors, they even loot the corpses of Ferelden's King :P

Personally, I do hope people who actually play the bootleg get all their DLC deauthorized and/or banned from this forum.
