definition of redundancy? RtO gripes and conspiracy theory threads. lock 'em all down - nothing is being said here that hasn't been mentioned many, many times before...
it's a conspiracy theory! Ooooo *ghost noises* I don't think my opinion can be labeled a conspiracy theory when theres solid evidence that there is no bug.
What else can be said here though? There's not enough updates and people are waiting to play it so yeah the community talks about it till its released. Then talks about it more once it is released. :innocent:

I for one know what it was.
As for the delay, it because they have to fix the probelm on three different engines, then they have to reload it back up, so that it can be downloaded to the rest of you. This takes time, also if they do the fix, they must first test it out to make sure it works, and if it doesn't work, then bck down it comes, and they work on it more, then reload it once more.
Now lets see, we have had a weekend in the 5 days this has been going on. Also to upload something so that it can be downloaded, takes time.
When I was on the CEP Team, we where testing and upload then testing then fixing then testing then fixing, them uploading, It wasn't over night, it took time.
Uploading time, takes a lot longer then downloading time also.

How can I be mean when I've had two cups of overly creamerized coffee with sugar? You might try it...may I also say that I like the way you wear your hair?
Poor mods are trying hard to keep this unnofficial discussion thread as the focus for anything else that ol Mr. Melo hasn't briefed us on, I'd guess that within the span of since it's been released they've closed and redirected at least 2 dozen new threads folks have started. Even our last thread went on for a long time til someone went on about eye-patches and peg-legs....it's hard to keep our wandering minds on track, but I'm glad they have some leniency left still.

Ahh..don't like coffee though XD Oh?? You like my hair? ^^ Awww..that is so sweet! Thank you. I like your shoes! I LOVE shoes!
I know but the poor mods are surrounded by the mountain lions who want blood, it is going to be hard. Many are mad and for reason I can understand.

As AndreaDraco has mentioned, you are free to discuss RtO's delay as much as you like (and we encourage you to do so), so long as you respect the forum rules. I suggest for those looking for more information, Fernando's community update can be found in the sticky thread here:
social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/9/index/576445
Updates will come as we have them available. Thanks again to those who have been so understanding. As a writer and a developer who comes here on my free time, I'd really much rather not have to make these sorts of posts.
The lock decision you took was wrong from the begining..I dont think that more then 10 people were discussing the whole pirate sybject,so unless you wanted us to shut our mouths about the RtO delay you should warn/ban the guys that were breaking the rules.By closing it you shuted the mouths of those that truly wanted to discuss the matter of the delay and not of the pirated client of RtO

Go for the eyes Eric! Tell them how you feel...might get your banned or this thread locked but you should tell people how you feel. It makes you feel better.

I'm not "shutting the mouth" of anyone. Your being here is proof of that. I closed the thread since warnings don't seem to last longer than the page they're on -- and the people who do continue to break forum rules by discussing pirated software will indeed be banned. In this case it's a situation of one bad apple spoiling the barrel. As it is, you're free to continue discussing the delay, aren't you?EricXIII wrote...

Did you know the whole thing about the one bad apple spoiling the barrel is actually true...because the rotten apple has gases in which make all the other apples do the same as that one rotten apple. Sorry random fact...>.>

I actually agree with what you guys did.I mean if you (Bioware) would have release that dlc with a major game crashing error people would have complained a lot more. But im curious about this dlc,how long is it?David Gaider wrote...

- No slander. This might seem weird, but accusing Bioware of lying can be considered slander.
- No fighting, name calling, taunting or flame wars. I would say the stuff some people are doing counts as taunting. For instance, TastyLaska's "how long can we go without being locked?" could be seen as taunting. No taunting includes Bioware and general sacrasm could be considered that.
- No Topics of an illicit or illegal nature. Remember the following line A person or persons found to discuss such matters may be banned from these forums at the discretion of the staff. You're not even supposed to discuss the use of illegal torrents, etc. The problem with bringing them up usually either results in a flame war about piracy, or invites comments like "I am being punished because the pirates got it first". That's not a good line of discussion to get into.
- Respect staff and/or moderator warnings or instructions.
- We, BioWare staff, Electronic Arts staff, official Moderators, or appointed agents reserve the right to edit, delete, or ban any content found on these sites without warning. Remember this one. It's up to their discression, not yours! It's like being in your Dad's house as a kid--don't violate what they tell you.[/b]
- We also reserve the right to modify these rules without warning.

@TheGreenLion - good job, mate. a well-spoken voice of reason amidst the chaos. i would like to see many more posts like yours actually discussing the dlc itself. understandably, that will be difficult to do until it is actually released, but i will throw my non-whiny thoughts into the fray:
since rto becomes available after lothering, it would probably be my first stop. taking the story and your character's experiences into account, it would seem logical that your warden and alistair would definitely want to go back to ostagar a.s.a.p., especially if there was the possibility of survivors.
gameplay factors may be a different matter, though. i would expect decent swarms of darkspawn to be running around ostagar, which can overwhelm your party. my warden is usually around level 7 by the time i leave lothering. if you are playing a mage, then you would want to spec an AoE spell into your arsenal a.s.a.p. gameplay may dictate that your party get another level or two (and the extra skills/spells) necessary to make it through. time will tell.

So why not just delete the offending posts and ban the offending posters? The only thing that would stop people from being "bad apples" would be to remove those particular apples from the bunch, not remove the basket entirely.

If people do continue to break the rules then temporaly ban them.im pretty sure after the ban is lift they wont do it again.Ok i have to admit the phrase "shutting our mouths" is wrong but i cant understand what the lock will provide? What will prevent the people who broke the rules in the other thread break them in that one too?David Gaider wrote...

You will keep locking threads until they get bored,or you will finaly ban them from doing it?Anyway im not a bioware hater or something.I enjoyed playing any bioware game and i understand that you guys doing your best about fixing all the games bugs and make happy your customers.
The only negative thing that bioware have in my opinion is their forum decision/managment

You know I think that's the first time I actually read tha rules...great addition to this thread methinks! Anyway, I think what we ought to do is help out the mods and keep them from having to remind us that we should keep within the rules. Mr. Gaider pretty much stated that any more discussion of the P word is gunna get you a ban, they may have tried the leniency thing in the hopes that we could contain ourselves...but like I said we have a hard time keeping our minds from wandering into prohibited territory on occasion. Thus why they need to be around to remind us.

What if anything is being done about the RTO that was leaked or pirated and is available on several p2p networks? Abov e is an achievement award you get only from RTO. I prefer to wait for the actual release as I do not pirate software...but someone needs to look into this seriously.

I won't take any info on release dates seriously unless I hear from someone like Mr. Melo i.e. an official source and not an overly speculative source,
