No, I'm only asking a question that deserves to be clarified so as to prevent this leakage and tolerance from happening again. Bioware should be firm to penalize those who got the leaked version regardless if they bought and registered the game. The associated accounts should be banned permanently, that serves them right!

If we are aware of people who are playing an illicit version of one of our games, and silly enough to update their profiles as evidence of such, they would probably be banned. Permanently. Not my call. But we're not going to keep you updated on that, because this isn't an appopriate forum to discuss piracy of any kind.

Is that understood? If you really have a concern about this, I suggest you contact our community co-ordinator, Victor Wachter.

Understood. Victor Wachter will hear from me immediately if I find somebody with the same issue.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa.... whoa... hold on here. So you are saying that you will listen to what he suggested, not fight about it with him, claim he is stiffling your freedom of speech (like it applies to private property anyway) and go thru the proper channels instead of continueing to post in threads about it?
Well holy **** I think my faith in humanity just went up a notch. cudos good sir cudos. The waffles are in the mail :)

21 pages and counting. Just 200 and change more for the record.

For the sake of not prolonging the conversation of illegal stuff they are referring to I'll have to compromise and let them have their day. Rest assured that he hasn't stifled my freedom of speech although I have to admit I don't agree how they just threaten you without even looking and understanding what I was trying to say and furthermore I wasn't even giving a link to where it is found, that hush hush thing they do not want me (us) to talk about.

*bows* I figured you would like that.

And did you figure that before or after you posted? ;)

I do what I can to make a joke. If people like it? Then I succeed. If they don't? Then I laugh because I found it funny. Welcome to my philosophy on comic writing: it was funny to me. Hope it was funny to you, too.

:P

sorry for OTImage IPB
hey that comic is good Image IPB

I know, OT as well.

Thanks!

On topic...

I do appreciate their "no tolerance" policy, but shutting down topics for agreeing with that policy seems a little severe. I understand that by acknowledging that a topic of ill-repute exists is giving it validity in the eyes of those who are performing said topic. Still... when they agree with you, graciously thank them for their wisdom prior to locking the topic. :police:

Unrelated to the "topic of no tolerance" and back to RtO... while I understand that giving a date at this point would fuel fires and restart the trolling machine, is it possible to find out if it will drop prior to DA:O-Awakenings... that way, since your team has said, verbatim:

Once the Awakening content is entered, you will be unable to return to previous content due to the world advancing and the length of time since the end of the original release, yet all choices made in previous content will pertain to an imported character...

... with that in mind, can we hope to be able to make said decisions prior to Awakenings releasing so we can play that content immediately when it hits, instead of having a rolling state of wait?

First off, "freedom of speech" does not mean being able to say whatever you like, wherever you like... not in public and most certainly not on a private forum. Secondly, we are well aware of what you are talking about and whom. If you have specific concerns about whomever, please direct them to our community co-ordinator. When I threaten anyone it is on behalf of the people who do follow the rules of this forum and would like to keep their discussion going. Thanks again for being so adult about it.

Software engineers in the game industry regularly put in 12-16 hour days. So rather than burn bridges here, with the Bioware guys and gals who are good enough to spend some time with us here, we should support the writers and developers, who work very hard and have produced a game so good that a slight delay, is almost painful for it's fans. In the grand scheme of the entertainment world, especially software, two months... very slight.

I wonder if Sandal's story is going to be expanded on? It seems he has become a fan favorite.

Are you just trying to get this thread closed for God's sake lighten up. When you register on a private forum of any kind and agree to the rules of the forum your freedom up speech rites don't fully apply anymore in that forum. Management has the right to judge what is appropriate for there forum and what type of said message they want to put forward in what they allow to be posted.

Certain subjects are Taboo respect it and move on. Have a cup of Java and chill.

As somone who ran a forum board for many years I have seen all kinds of posters. Most of them are very good about following the rules, but then you always get a bad apple in the bunch and you have to do something about them, or they can start turning the rest of the apples bad.

If I did something wrong on here, I would want them to let me know first, and if I kept doing it after I was told not to, then I feel they have the right to ban me.

I just have to say that I admire the restraint and professionalism of Chris and the rest of the Bioware employees. Reading the many complaints and nit picking posts on here, after all the hard work they put into making this game, I'd have banned everyone that is whining, or wants something for nothing and told them a Bioware rep would be by to confiscate their game!

Thanks for a good game guys. It's the first one to hold my attention long enough to finish in many years!

Hey... why the tantrums? RtO will be here when it's ready.
For the angry people: www.webmd.com/heart-disease/features/rein-in-rage-anger-heart-disease

I can't wait to get my hands on the new DLC. It'll be awesome. And you know what else? When we do get it, it'll even be finished! Imagine that. :D

Edit: And I really do agree with the person above me. The professionalism with which all of these threats and moans have been handled truly does you credit, Moderators and Devs.

Excuse me? Are you insinuating that I can't follow the rules here? Have I done anything excessively illegal to deserve this bashing from you? Man, sometimes people don't get it, this is amazing stuff.

sighs and shakes my head...a simple reminder folks...

when you are on someones Forum, chat or blog, you are basically in their home, try to act accordingly.

as well, remember courtesy and respect is not a gift you give to others, but to yourself....it shows the world who YOU are.

Like this wont get the thread locked *rolls eyes* back to the topic at hand. We've no sign of RtO its a tuesday which is even worse. So when should we expect to see it? Mass effect 2 comes in two weeks if rto isn't out before then well sorry bioware but over rto i would have to go with mass effect 2. Which humorously is another bioware product. But everyone not buying rto might hurt the dragon age department.

The best course of action is to add the Return to Ostagar DLC with the expansion. It makes more sense anyhow to go to Ostagar after the Blight is defeated and not during.
