Please if you feel the need to spam go to the off topic thread, thats the reason why the original RTO thread got locked.

Yes your right mrcoffe. A poll should be started to see how many people will buy rto if it comes after mass effect 2. I wouldn't be suprised if its lower than 20%.

What's the point in keeping this thread open anyway? Why not just lock it for posterity's sake.

Once this one gets locked up another RTO thread will pop right backup, some users may actually want to discuss the DLC instead of having a pissing match with the dev team.

I miss the old rto thread. To bad it can't just be unlocked. Would save us from having to keep making a new rto thread every day when one gets locked.

I was totally going to join the pissing match with the dev team but my kidney stones knocked me out of the running for "longest sustained stream"

You are right, of course; like every other topic  another RtO thead will be started and eventually dissolve back into  what we have here.

What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. And I don't like it any more than you men.

I don't see it taking that long. The only reason ill stop playing mass effect is to play through awakening a few times. I would normally still get the DLC because I want to support the game, but with the way things have been, ehhh...

12:00am RTO Released

12:01am The people who were camping for the DLC start gaming

12:30am First threads about bugs and bad things in the DLC from angry nerds

12:45am Moar threads, flame wars included, fanboys nerds against computer geeks that are loyal to BG and stuff

1:01am First thread of people who has ended the DLC, moar discussion

1:02-8:00am Tons of spoilers in forum from lifeless geeks

8:00am Second wave of players

From here is almost the same but with moar flame wars and also Bioware geek-fanboys-paladins defending how awesome is Bioware and this DLC and how they would gladly give their virginity to any mod who answer them.

For this is what you are being anxious...

I think that last post from Discursion just sent them far up the list of total :wizard:heads on this forum.  I was going to break down the post with comments but some things just aren't worth it.

The post that got the thread locked?  That was it.

It's one thing to complain that there are no updates and another to be calling them liars for telling you. They could easily have just kept quiet instead of lying.

Conspiracy theorists meet occam's razor!

The only thing I'm curious about is why there is so much obscurity around this "issue" that popped up. I scratch my head wondering why Bioware can't simply explain the problem to the public rather then ducking corners and being as ambiguous as possible. Problems come up, pretty much everyone understand that it it's a part of life but why they simply don't say "___ and ___ weren't up to our standards and we are working hard to bring them up to our standards" I don't understand. There is no real harm that can stem from it and it would help put a lot of this nonsense and conspiracy to bed.

Because if they flat out told us there was a problem with the quest where Duncan comes back as a Darkspawn (a Duncspawn if you will) and that you wont get credit for killing him, then they'd be spoiling it for you.

Protip: Duncan doesnt actually come back as a Duncspawn (well, he might, I havent played the DLC, so I cant actually say), I was just using that as an example

Or maybe they are adding duncan in as a darkspawn and they cant tell us cause it's a spoiler.

The cup is half full!

The mere thought of a "Duncspawn" gives me shivers...

So we're at...what, more than a full week's delay now, and basically no news at all since the, y'know, "We will update you as new information becomes available" announcement? I'm not expecting it to come out tomorrow or something, but this has long since passed ridiculous.

They seem to like to do the updates the day before now :P

yesterday (the 12th) they said the 360 would be patched on the 13th
on the 4th they pulled RtO again :P

keeping their cards close to their chest at this point

Please do not discuss software piracy on these forums.

If you have concerns about another community member, please do not post here about it, but instead use one of the following avenues of communication:

1) The "Report this Post" or "Report this Person" button

2) Send a message to Chris Priestly ( http://social.bioware.com/46/ ), or Victor Wachter ( http://social.bioware.com/649519/ )

3) Send a message to a moderator who you have seen recently post on the forum (since they are likely to still be around :-) ).

Your feedback & concerns are important and appreciated, but it means less cleanup work afterwards if you use one of those three methods of communication.

Thanks! :-)

Are you able to answer specific questions with regard to RtO?  There are a lot of questions that have been asked that have not been answered, and the reason is usually given that the person being asked is not privy to the answer.  With all due respect, the asking of questions has proven to be pointless given the various moderators' lack of knowledge about the DLC.  Would asking you about the status be any different?  Again, I ask this with all due respect.  What, exactly, do you know that you can tell us?

Out of curiousity...

I've got a char on hold (one who can put the hyped up armor to use) after the primary quests, just before that big main event in the city. (Phew, I hope that dodges spoilers.)

Would he still be able to give RtO a spin after said event, or should I just put him on hold until the release?

Hiya, that's a good question....

Sorry, I don't know anything.

All the moderators are community members like you. (ie, the badge just says the word "Moderator", the bioware employees have badges that say "Bioware" :-) ).

I have been visiting Bioware's forums for 9 years now (and Interplay's before that), and somewhere along the way Bioware asked me if I'd help them keep the forums nice and tidy... that's it.

Apart from the occasional christmas card they send, I don't have any special communication with them :-)
