Getting an inferior version for a small delay in a DLC? Doesn't look that much of a smart choice to me...

Maybe the reason for the last minute delay was cause microsoft demanded to be the first to have the DLC

and bioware / EA agreed.

My only worry is that the guy that had to flick the switch for the xbox update scheduled for today also flicked the switch of the DLC, while he wasn't supposed to and today isn't the real release day. That'd be pretty bad... But alas! Have faith

@Alaskan: I doubt it. If there's someone that really doesn't need Microsoft's bribe money that's EA.
Also, that kind of deal is never done last minute. It needs to be done before the release of the original game to give any sizeable commercial advantage to Microsoft, because it sways people to buy the Xbox version of the game. Doing it when most people already bought the game and chose their platform wouldn't be that smart, or useful.

I know I just waited 7 days  and said nothing so this is just me venting.  I'll wait 1/2 a day and kill all the darkspawn i can find, then join the exhalted march if im not able to go back to Ostagar.

It was all a ruse. Project Natal's true feature is that it allows you to travel in time and grab the DLC that are supposed to be released tomorrow
