If I got it correctly, TIM found out about the Thessia beacon from the files he got on Mars. After that he simply prompted Shepard to go to Thessia and had him do all the heavy lifting.

Matriarchs don't get banged, they do the banging..or else..lol Hence the term Matriarch
edit: besides, TIM indoctrinated, wouldn't know it in any event..not mission critical.

TIM only plays 'human' on TV, otherwise he's, well... indoctrinated. I never liked the The Indoctrinated Man..( I think bioware switched his name at the last minute..lol)

Indeed. And as I've only played through the game once (sigh) Garrus goes with me everywhere.

I feel that mission is a LOT better with Javik there. You even get to see him do his own "interrupt" on another character.

We do not know exactly what transpired before that. This is the problem. Javik obviously said something to her that we did not hear that offended her deeply. And he has not been tactful. Honestly, that was kind of my feeling. The first time I played ME3, I ended up siding with Javik partly for that reason, partly because he clearly saw how upset Liara was becoming on Thessia but he didn't stop with his history lesson (again - the need to learn a little thing called "tact") and partly because through my entire first playthrough I found him to be a disrespectful squaddie and by that time I was itching for a chance to put him in his place.
I've now learned to respect Javik for who he is and why the way he is, but during that first play through, yeah, for a very long time he was the one and only squad member I didn't actually like. I tend to think that Edwin Shepard more or less feels the same way when he experiences Javik, so siding with Liara is my "canon." Liara may not be Edwin Shepard's "bondmate," but she is his friend.
If only an interrupt for Javik were available where Shepard can cut him off during one of his "in my cycle" speeches and say, "We're not in your cycle, Javik. We're in my cycle, on my ship, and you'll follow my rules and treat my crew with respect."

Javik's line telling T'Soni "you didn't study hard enough" was cool. Well she has 800 + years to study harder.

I wish we had the ability to kill teammates in ME3 for a better ending.
Have a choice where Shepard can sacrifice himself or his teammates.
Liara and Tali would be dead every 3 seconds.

Liara is blaming him for the loss of Thessia. I'm not sure why she would go to him as a shoulder to cry on when you have Garrus and Shepard, both of whom are in the process of losing their homeworlds, or Tali who understands what it is like; all of whom are old friends.
No, she went into his quarters to blame him for the loss of her homeworld, even though it was not Javik's fault at all. I'm guessing she is blaming him for the fact that the beacon didn't warn the Asari earlier about the Reapers or something, but as Javik pointed out, the Protheans had already spent a lot of time helping the Asari with basic technology such as agriculture. (You do not need to believe Javik's "paragon" response as the motivations of the Protheans; however they did do it.) Plus they clearly had access to Prothean technology to bootstrap themselves ahead of all the other species.
Javik saw his entire cycle and race destroyed and found himself 50K in the future as the only one left of his species. She should cut him a little slack:
Liara: "I lost my homeworld."
Javik: "Yeah, well I am the only Prothean left in the Universe, quit your whining."
Liara: "Shepaaaaaaard!!!"
As Joker said, maybe the Asari should have spent less time being strippers.

This thread is funny. Liara barges into Javik's room and is looking for sympathy? The man lost his whole freakin' civilization, for crying out loud. Whatever friends, LI, kids he might have had are all dead. Long dead. He knows that his existence is futile because no matter how hard he fights he already lost. Hell yeah, I'd be a dick. And to have Liara jump me and ask for sympathy? I kind of like her but this is ridiculous.
This was my reason for siding with Javik. She went into a cave and poked a bear, what did she expect to happen? That a man(err, alien) who saw his entire civilization die off, forced to kill his own people because of the Reaper's love of psychological warfare, was going to be awash with sympathy for the asari? She's a bit needy and needed to be taken down a slight peg, imo.

He wasn't out of line for telling the truth. The Protheans DID aid in the evolution of the Asari. Liara couldn't handle that.
