What are 3 races you think were poorly designed to be "realistic"... Here's my 3 choices.

1. Hanar - I do believe intelligent aquatic lifeforms can exist. In fact, dolphins here on Earth are intelligent but I doubt they could be physically be able to build spaceships and explore the galaxy. Yes, with cooperation with the Drell, work that the species seek is done physically by the Drell, but the Drell was found by the Hanar though. IF anyone could explain how the Hanar become spacefaring, I'd appreciate it.

2. Batarians - 4 eyes, too many nostrils which is not so much of a problem here, but they really don't have any individualality. Some of the other species in Mass Effect do, but really, they literally look the same. Same face structure, same voice, same height. Everything. Only difference is some batarians have different skin color but that's it. Even the turians have some differences you can tell by from each turian individual.

3. Vorcha - So ugly, I don't even know they "Breed fast" according to the Turian on Omega. They are just, scary and too savage looking. Maybe they are really talking animals.

You didn't get the joke from the Batarian bartender in ME2? "Wait, you humans all look alike."

Worst design ELEMENT is three-fingered hands without opposable thumbs, shared by Turians, Krogans, Protheans and Volus. Not sufficient for tool use, much less the construction of starships or nukes.

Three fingers is enough. tape your index and middle fingers together along with your ring and pinky finger. Trust me, it works. besides, they probably didn't use the same type of tools as us. Also, Quarians have Three fingers. Don't go being racist! J/k

Hanar. Not because of their looks, but because we are supposed to kinda like them but in reality they are the most manipulative bastards on the citadel. The chains they bind the Drell in are unforgiveable. 'LOL sure we'll save a tithe of your population to live on a planet that is toxic to you and demand eternal service for the favor.'

jerks.

Vorcha. Dumb, weak yahgs, pretty much sums it up. The amout of intelligence they show, they should still be in the in stone age.

My vote goes to the Vorcha, they are just ugly, they pretty much look like turians without mandibles if you ask me.

I can't believe no one mentions Krogan. They are an evolutionary and ecological absurdity. Basically, I play as a paragon except when it comes to the Krogan. For them I can only play "renegade" in rebellion against the total unbelievability of their reproduction rates.

I don't find the Hanar that bad after reading some of the books/comics. Elcor are pretty rough design wise to me.

Said the dude whose profile pic is a Krogan...?!?

That, and I'm not sure it's really that unbelievable.  I mean, how many offspring do fleas or cockroaches produce in a year?

The Yahg. Their size and strength exceeds that of the krogan and they have the ability to be quite smart yet they have no role in the galaxy aside from one who only gets 15 minutes or less screen time. The only others we see seem to be feral. I didn't care much for the Hanar but at least they are different. Every other species is bipedal which I don't think will be the case once we discover other life one day.

Batarians; they suffer from the Star Trek syndrome of human body + alien head, and are in behavioral respects very much like humans. I feel they exist solely because human mercenaries/terrorists wouldn't be as interesting. :P

The Asari also do the human body alien head thing, but they're all female and have a very different method of reproduction, not to mention lengthy lifespan.

Batarians for reasons stated above. They lack the padding seen with other races.

No way, I love the batarians. They are like the a**h0le race of the galaxy.

My favorite moment was when I was playing ME1 as my first FemShep. On some random planet with the Mako, find a bunker. Go in, as soon as I open the door a bunch of Batarians turn around. Me and my Shepard literally both said, ".... Batarians!!!" at the same time.

They lose several points for originality:

3) Quarians. They have boobs and look like humans even though they're suppose to be weird, lizard people with 3 fingers. Can't have our precious Tali looking like a weird alien for those who romanced her now. (Tis okay for Garrus though since it's just femshep) Them being hidden behind enviroment suits just adds to the examples of laziness in female alien designs.

2) Asari. They're just blue humans with tentacle things for hair, yawn

And the crappiest design for an alien race goes to...........

1) Space beetles. They're just large beetles wtf

elcor . but the thing is you need some races that are not major. if all races were major than the game would not be fun

I'd go with the Vorcha. All of them act and sound the same. None of them are unique and I haven't seen a single kind vorcha throughout the whole series.

Not a fan of the Hanar.
