Atlas 4 shot and supertracking rocket of DoT destruction? Not a problem. Centurion 3-spawns that kill you so quick it's as if you never even existed? Space ninja bull**** blaster? I'm going to lose my frakkin mind! Now this is the real problem with the faction and it's exacerbated by the goons.

- Best mobility
- Extremely effective melee
- Sync kill
- High health/barriers
- Anti melee/power bubble
- Stagger resistance
- Ridiculous DR
- Cloak that regens health and barriers
- Rolls in packs
- Has a whole team on her side
(may be forgetting some)

Now, take that character and give her the best ranged weapon in the game? High RoF, crazy damage and pinpoint accuracy even at exreme range. And BioWare talks about "balance"?

So I say, first, give goons a cooldown between shooting and smashing. For space ninjas, remove the bs blaster and if necessary add DR off-host. Or, remove DR and nerf the bs blaster. With these changes Carebears would again be a fun faction to fight.

925 dmg per shot renders full fitness useless on a lot of kits, add the ranged attacks of dragoons and the atlas cannon + rocket and get a retarded wave 11 with two atlases, four phantoms and two dragoons. The accuracy at 60+ frames plus the gangbanging mentality of the enemy will kill even the toughest krogan in splitseconds if he dares to stick his head out of cover for even a moment.

And yes, I extract on gold against them, like the other players do that are pointing out the BS in this thread. Doesn't change the fact that cerberus is broken.

And yes, there are special kits and weapons/powers to choose from if the lobby is preset to cerberus. Doesn't change the fact that you doesn't always use them if searching for U/U/G.

They need to seriously lower the effective range of that palm blaster, and take away a chunk of her DR. It's flipping crazy how much she gets even on host. They also need to make sure that when her sword gets destroyed that she cannot sync kill for the duration of her life.

Dragoons spawn was really ridiculous early on before the balance change.

Op, how would you feel with three dragoons spawning till the wave budget expired? And hunting in packs.

Soloing Cerberus platinum was a nightmare before they put the cap on the spawn.

Take away the Phantom on-host damage reduction and they're fine IMO.... but that DR is ridiculous. I can deal with the Dragoons... their stupidity/lack of tactics makes them predictable and easy to defeat.

Cerberus doesn't scare me anymore, but I never host so I avoid the on-host DR issue. certain kits begin to laugh out loud when Carebears show up - BatSol lerve it, Paladin he lerve it, Krogan Sentinel, Shadow - all lerve dem Carebears.

For me, I prioritize Phantoms and Goons numero uno. I used to carry a Scorpion on every kit, just in case Cerberus. Somewhere along the line, I ditched those training wheels :)

I would gladly take a Palm Blaster nerf; that thing is stupid. Goon CD inbetween spam - absolutely.

Al that, and I would still much rather they take Marksman away from the Geth Rocket Trooper.

Phantoms are easy to kill IMO. Dragoons are ridiculous though, they are the reason I don't really like playing against Cerberus anymore.

Weirdly it's Nemeses and Atlases that annoy me most with Cerberus - yeah, I'll have the odd "you cheaty b****" moments against Phantoms... but Nemeses, "Right, I'm getting fkn sick of being fkn sniped from the other side of the fkn map - where the hell is that irritating cowbag? - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" or "Oh what, seriously? You just snap-shotted me with a sniper rifle WHILST being staggered"

... but then, it comes down to the characters you use. For a Krentinel or BatGuard (two of my favourite classes) having things actually run up to you to be punched in the face (Phantoms/Dragoons) isn't necessarily a bad thing :)

... and that being said, toning down the palm cannon and what-the-hell-ever level of Hornet(?) the Dragoons use would perhaps tempt more of them to run into my fist rather than cowering behind a wall pew-pewing me? Jolly good!

I usually roll an Asari Vanguard in gold so I can deal with Phantoms with Stasis. Dragoons don't really bother me either. They are pretty easy to dodge and leave themselves open for quite a bit after their smash. But, the turrets...............my god. Sometimes the turrets just get out of control. Seems like even with a Cyclonic III I don't have time to react to getting hit by a turret before i am dead.

I tend to relax too much after doing this, and then allow myself to get stabbed.  (Or is it more like my nerves are completely shattered after wave 7 and those phantoms are just helping me to take a break...)

Why do so many ppl have a issue with phantoms man, use a impact ability get them to bubble, shoot the bubble, or just shoot em a III Talon 3'shots em on gold...

Is it only me or did Phantoms get extremely stab-happy since Retaliation? That annoys me the most about them. And Dragoons are just...meh.

Also, Dragoons are invulnerable during Smash and Phantoms can use their pew pew thingy without draining their barriers. The irony is delicious.

(Oh and our turrets suck, theirs are awesome)

Nemeses annoy me the most, because their pop shots deliver more damage than their carefully laser targeted shots. But I have no issues with Cerberus really, and I find them the most fun faction. It's a team game, I'm glad that dealing with multiple phantoms isn't something I can do with ease with any class. I'm glad they are a threat.

I'd rather face 5 Dragoons than 1 Phantom. Since I mostly play humans I get downed by a Phantom's extremely accurate palm blaster in 3 blasts :/ .

Besides the cute roll Dragoons do make them irrelevant because powers will hit them anyway and you can line up easy headshots when they come back up.

I had an instance where I was hosting against Cerberus with wave 10 targets objective.
Through the entire eliminating targets I had not seen a single phantom. Neither had any of my team mates.
We eliminated the last target and i turn to run away to see 4 phantoms behind me stalking me.
Needless to say I encountered phantoms 100 slices of pain.
But yeah I mean a lone phantom is easy enough on host.
A phantom with 1 dragoon is trouble but not too bad.
A phantom with 2 dragoons I feel like I should just not move and MAYBE they will go away...
They need to remove the Dragoons space walk. At least so that they move slower giving you a chance to get away..
