Phantoms are brutally OP and dragoons are super annoying, but honestly, my Asariguard, Drellguard, and Slayer can all make pretty quick work of both, even in groups. They're much worse if you're more reliant on weapons, I think, even though they have their bubble.

Asariguard - Charge, throw two grenades directly at the floor so that no one does the invincibubble.
Drellguard - Charge + CGs for groups, Pull for single ones if I get their barriers down quickly.
Slayer - PD all the things! Only really works on host...

Assguard, stasis phantom you or team mate kills it, repeat.    No dependance on grenades, no putting your self in harms way from other enemies by charging.  Any one of your team mates can kill it.  Several phantoms spawn at once or are coming down a hall?  Stasis bubble = problem solved.

I still find it funny that we have a post a week on here about how brutal phantoms are and whenever people talk about speccing for the Assguard everyone wants to spec out of the best phantom defense in the game by a mile.  (Not to mention how useful it is vs other annoying faction critters such as the rocket trooper.

I am not cool, so I ask without irony, why are you (we/everyone) calling Cerberus the "Care Bears?"

Which is why I now almost always play Reapers OR Collectors

Cerberus & Geth are full of s***  & the people who designed and developed them should be ashamed out themselves for not being able to make something balanced & sensible...

2 Phantoms and 2 Dragoons all charging you at the same time, who approves these spawn allocations?

Make it 4 Phantoms, 3 Dragoons & an Atlas..this happens on Wave 10 Gold...& the Phantoms spawn indefinitely even if you kill them. I know objective waves have indefinite spawns but why must only be Phantoms ?

Maybe it is time everyone realize that Bioware Devs are indoctrinated & are Cerberus sleeper agents...

Yeah F*ck Carebears!

And yes, it's weird that an enemy that's supposed to excel at close-range can outgun you with their palms.

Funny enough, same thing is wrong about Dragoons. They are master marksmans who can do massive damage with their guns. I actualy fear their guns more than the whips.

You can dodge their whips, but you can't dodge their bullets.

You can dodge the whips, but you can't run from them anway. Because, he will whip out an SMG and healthgate you before your dodge even ends.

Hm, I enjoy fighting Cerbies.

Its always fun dancing around Phantoms and Dragoons as they try to melee you.

Atlas DoT missiles don't really bother me unless they health gate my Geth, who actually may die from it.

It still holds true as it did at release- Cerb is pretty easy w/ hard phantom counters. Durrgoons haven't really changed that aspect.. they've just made camping against them less viable a tactic. I dun mind the durrgoon's affinity for melee as much as their hornet fire rate + accuracy and (like w/ collectors) lack of distinct, telling sounds (they yell just like any other Cerb trooper). They're a shoddily-designed unit thrown together to patch 'gaps' in the Cerb faction (like bombers), but that's a bit beside the point.

The on-host phantom DR issues really ought to be addressed, though.

(Carebears) have officially trumped Robots in my eyes as the cheapest and most annoying faction. I really can no longer stand playing them. The whole problem is space ninjas and goons.

Couldn't agree more. When I first started feeling that way, I thought I was going crazy, because Cerberus used to be the easiest faction, but these days... I might get more frustrated with Geth, but in the end, I probably have a higher success rate against them, even if achieving that success can be downright grueling.

I would say in general that the better balanced a given faction, the less a decent player needs specific kits or load-outs to deal with them. Geth are trivially easy with certain kits, but monumentally frustrating with others, and Cerberus is becoming like that as well. Several people have mentioned stasis users and stagger weapons, and they do make phantoms easier to deal with, but I shouldn't have to bring an Asari or a Scorpion to fight Cerberus effectively.

I feel like Reapers and Collectors, by contrast, are playable with any kit--yes, even casters and Vanguards against Collectors, though they tend to have it worst. At least for me personally, no matter what kit I'm using on UUG, if Reapers or Collectors comes up, I feel pretty confident. If Geth or Cerberus comes up, my reaction varies hugely based on what I'm playing.

Anyway... I enjoy Cerberus as a whole, but it's hard to express how much I HATE the addition of Dragoons. Who are these gimps running at me with their whips out? Cerberus are supposed to be the tactical faction, not the run around like a retard faction.

Biower remove pls.

My feelings exactly. The goons completely killed cerberus for me. Combine that with the mountain of B.S. that is the geth faction and the uknown enemy setting's habit of throwing me against collectors 20x in a row and yeah...I pretty much only play against reapers anymore.

I don't think too much change is needed in order to not handicap them too much:

For phantoms at least the effective range of the palm blaster should be toned down a little, as well as a bit of a damage nerf to it. Then she should still be fine and a threat but just a little less annoying in that players would have better time to react to her at range.

For dragoons either the damage of their hornets should be significantly reduced, and/or the seamless transition between shooting and meleeing/smashing should be removed. I have no problem with them being fast and powerful close up, but they are a bit too shooty coming in considering their high speed.
