The only things you have to watch for are wave 7+8, Engineer turret spam and goon/phantoms. Also extraction can be a pain sometimes. Other than that they are fine for me.

@Blind, there are advantages to not hosting besides phantom DR. Enemies tend to not react as quickly to your presence as well.

I guess the upside is, if you do break their sword it staggers them. And the only time a host can do damage to a phantoms is when they're in cover or staggered. Unfortunately they have crazy high stagger resistance, are almost never in cover and only people like Jay can reliably break their swords.

Yeah, I think there's a better chance that the Geth will play fair than that I'll be able to break a Phantom's sword on purpose.

Hate phantoms, but those dragoons. I love how they can find you, even if your across the map and have your tac-cloak on and your crouched behind full cover. And how they move at weird angles when your (trying) to line up the headshot. Best luck I've had with these jokers is to poke a hole in the chest, watch the roll then plug them in the noggin. Then, as per usual, one of his buddies is already standing behind me, screwing up my aim,

Make it 4 Phantoms, 3 Dragoons & an Atlas..this happens on Wave 10 Gold...& the Phantoms spawn indefinitely even if you kill them.

I have never encountered that particular spawn and all I can say is thank god! I have had the pleasure of the 3 Phantom rush getting sniped by an Atlas as I ran for my life. Adding Dragoons into that would be a nightmare.
