I love it when a PuG comes together.

Gold/Cerb/Goddess
Asguard with Incendiary (me) - Bonus power on BC
Slayer with Disruptor (my wife)
Kroguard - Random
Huntress - Random

It was pure carnage. 3 different types of explosions going off constantly. Atlases melting like butter. Phantoms died from burst/explosion damage before they could even be a threat. Dark Channel would jump from enemy to enemy in a group, and with 3-4 biotic charges going off in a second or two, just constant BOOM, BOOM, BOOM.

It's the kind of match that reminds me why this game is soooo much bloody fun when everything is working.

Agreed, some times you get a good group dynamic and playing style and can just wreck opponents that other times give you trouble. I'm becoming much more pliable as far as switching classes in the lobby now for this reason. I use to enter a lobby wanting to play my chosen class but now I'm more up to swap depending on what the other team mates are using.

I love going into a lobby and seeing a vanguard or primer like Paladin or a Flamer kit.

Switch to something to sync up (prime/detonate respectively) and instantly PUGing becomes far easier (if they're the least bit competent).

Good synergy. And would have been even better if Justicar with Area Reave instead of the Huntress.

Normally I might agree, but with three Vanguards, I think DC and Warp were just as good.  DC would just keep hopping through a spawn, and the Huntress would Warp other enemies.  It was rare not to have at least 2 primed enemies around.

Even better, four Paladins.

Techsplosions EVERYWHERE!

That or generally every massing of synergic kits. Four Furies in a single team is most likely the most devasting thing short of rocket spam and four Novaguards on a team is insanely fun to play.

I'd say that four Furies loose to 2 kits with AF and Novaguards to detonate :-)

Synergies are 50/50. Some don't care you detonate, others freak out because they feel as if its their target. I could care less...quicker the match, the quicker the next one can start.

but it's the "primer" who gets the biggest chunk of points. That's why it's pretty easy to get a ton of points with Paladin or Flamer kit when there are some detonators around.

Am still waiting for my Deathwalker Vanguard with Biotic Charge. Annihilation Field and Nova. It would be the kit to end all kits.

Now imagine 4 of those in the same match.

I played a Drell adept with a friend and two pugs, one of whom was a kroguard. I was spamming reave on everything. Did the kroguard try charging at them to explode them? No, he went off charging elsewhere and dying :(

I switched to volus vanguard and went to new lobby where there was a vorcha with flamer. I made sure i charged and used orbs to attacak stuff he was flaming. Often he got the kill as a fire explosion and all i got was an assist, but we killed a lot faster that way/

I did the 4 Paladins last night on Platinum. It was pretty awesome.

@OP - When did you and your wife want to try those Platinum runs with Sundae and me?

Yeah, that was you!  Barring my phantom synckill on Wave 10, the Goddess match would have been pretty flawless.  We lost the Kroguard and picked up a Havoc for the next match on Rio, which was still almost as good.

Maybe this weekend if you're on?  Tonight and tomorrow we've got plans, provided the snow coming in doesn't change those.

Yeah, those wave 10 devices were pretty tough... turrets and phantoms everywhere!. Rio was good too. It was great to see a (mostly) random team work well together, doesn't happen often.

Feel free to friend Zanasta and I if you want!  It's always a pleasure to find good randoms.

I felt really bad about that synckill.  I feel bad any time I get instakilled, but on an objective wave no less

Except 50% of the time they don't play as you expect them.
I was playing with a TGI harrier random and he specced out of Overload. I was hoping he would detonate my fires :/

Yeah true, its still a gamble. I remember one PUG plat match though, roll into a lobby to find a Vorcha Sentinel and Human Adept sitting there. Figure it'll be a Flamer spammer, so change to my Gethgineer just as the Adept changes to a HEng.

Great match. Glorious techsplosions everywhere:O

Will send requests out (probably tomorrow since I dont think I will be on today). No reason to feel bad, you played very good those games, and stuff happens. I know how it feels though.
