My general preference for armour is more-or-less visually identical to the suit my Shep wore in ME2.

Head: Kuwashii Visor
Shoulders: Serrice Council
Gauntlets: Kassa Fabrication
Chest: Rosenkov Materials
Greaves: N7

This is really down to a mix of what I like the look of vs what boosts I want, the above gives me a bit of everything.

Since I tend to pack a lot of guns on my Adept I tend to favour Power Recharge, Weapon Damage and Shield Strength in that order for intel bonii.

Squadmate gear is fine the way it is.

Intel bonuses are a good idea, but way too rare. They should have added more in or at least made the system more worthwhile.

Armor sets (Cerberus, Blood Dragon, etc.) are way too easy to get. For the amount of stats that you get from those armor sets it is insane how early you can get ahold of them. Just throw them in a random vendor and make them worth 55k credits. I would expect more effort and time required to get such powerful and unique sets, not what was done.

Customizable armor, on the other hand, is fantastic. Besides customization, the customizable armor is much more balanced and rewarding to find.

*Side note: Why are the unique armor sets not customizable? Why not?

The Armor sets Cerberus/blood dragon were probably so easy to get on account they were pre order DLC bonues or had to buy them using real money in the second Mass Effect game, and Bioware wanted everyone to have easy access this time around that is probably why the armor sets are not customizable.

Something else to add. It has to do with mods and not armor or intel but I think it may be worth mentioning.

Loki_344 mentioned this in another thread, but the Pistol and SMG Power Magnifier mods (available with the Citadel DLC) apply to all powers, including ammo powers.

The new Cerberus Armors from the Citadel DLC need to be added. If I weren't typing on an iPhone, I'd do it in this post.

I did my first playthrough with my Soldier on Insanity taking all Bonus Ammo upgrades, dear lord my Revenant had too many bullets. I didn't even need a 2nd gun.
