But its not news; console players cope with an inferior version of ME3 MP in terms of controls. Nothing I can do about it as a PC player, but enjoy more popcorn at the expense of other people's rage against PC and RCing.. and w/ a thread like this, its been quite a few bucket's worth of entertainment.

Console has a disadvantage in regular RC because they can't do so with medigel, but as far as I know they can still cancel with A on characters without dodge and mask RC behind powers just as well as the PC. The latter being IMO the best way to RC if you care about DPS and this is what I was mentioning in my point 4, not "regular" medigel RC.

Not denying that the Claymore is a lot more convenient to use on PC than on console thanks to medigel cancel though, but it doesn't change my opinion than the Wraith is a better weapon overall even on PC.

EDIT : thinking about it though you may be right because even masking RC behing powers is better used if you medigel cancel after the reload to be able to shoot faster, so consoles may indeed have a disadvantage on this type of cancel too.

Wouldn't it be cool if Bioware released another shotgun in Reckoning that could be interjected into this conversation? There's always the Raider (which is the best of both weapons... without the range).

I prefer the Wraith to the Claymore myself, because I don’t
like the idea of living off of reload cancel to make a gun work to its full
potential. While I agree that the Claymore is incredibly powerful, I personally
prefer having multiple shots and a quicker base reload in case anything goes
badly (lag makes you miss on the first shot, you get staggered, etc.). I also
typically play classes where I like to have better cooldowns, so obviously the
Wraith’s weight is a bonus.

 

I think the Claymore is a better weapon for those with a
gambler’s mentality, and as I’m not one of those people, it’s not my favorite.

I agree with Holy, this is probably my favorite weapon in
the game. There’s something so cool about running around with a shotgun only
slightly larger than your hand.
