the wraith is pretty good and i do use it on some of my classes but as long as we have reload cancels it won't outscore a claymore

My Claymore X might be generally better than my Wraith IV(PC)/II(Xbox), but there are a lot more kits I'd bring a lower level Wraith over ClayX. There are also a lot of other weapons in general I would use over ClayX depending on the kit, but respect to those that relish in the glory of the Claymoar.

Since I tend to use biotics or melee biotics, I find myself running the wraith. Claymore just gets *really* heavy with an omni-blade. CDs aren't everything, but I do need to fire off powers once in a while.

I do love the sweet, deadly rhythm of a finely-wielded, reload-cancelled claymore.

I can't hear you over the sound of superior weapons murdering enemies more efficiently than the Claymore.

Wraith and Claymore are both capable of killing anything that isn't a boss in one shot.

If you can't do that with a Wraith it's your own fault for having terrible aim. There are also plenty of other lighter weapons that make a joke of the Claymore.

I hope you realize that if you knew how to aim you could kill 2 human sized enemies for every one you kill with the Claymore.  Because if you're not trolling, that's just sad.

DPS ceases to matter when you kill in one shot.  Claymore DPS being greater than Wraith DPS only matters vs. bosses.  If you are intelligent about enemy prioritization, you only need to kill two bosses per gold wave vs. ~20 'normal' enemies.

you know what? I actually think you are right. A wraith can't take a ravager like a claymore does: in 2 shots, and slower with a non-infiltrator/debuffer

As I read the title to Ashen's troll thread, I thought.

BSN is quite predictable.

Its not like the two are mutually exclusive.  There've been plenty of combo threads.  BSN can't play out Godwin's Law, since the acronym for the National Socialist German Workers' Party is ironically cencored.  So, instead, as any given thread's length increases, the probability that it will devolve into some combination of: a platform war, RC-flamebaiting, the Great Prothean "Debate,"  Infiltrators' cheapness, or balance change whining approaches 1.

Wraith is a much better weapon than the Claymore IMO, which is why it is UR and the Claymore is R. Wraith at high level can compete with the Claymore's damage, is 2 shots, quick reload, and has one of the highest damage-per-shot to weight profiles in the game. The Claymore reload cancelled is a closer fight, but that still can't change its single-shot and weight properties. I love both guns, and especially love the sound of the Claymore.

In reality, what the Wraith feels like to me is the spiritual successor to the ME 2 Claymore.

Yeah, somehow I doubt Ashen Scrub's claim. He never gets a 20 headshot medal, whereas the PC elitists are capable of getting the 20 headshots medal before the 25 kills / 25 weapon kills medals....

Plus, he plays GI, like the pansy that he is.

And Disciple888 is a much better player than Ashen is.

It depends on the class. Sure, on a class that depends on fast cooldowns for power spam, the lighter gun is better. But on my Batarian Soldier, the Claymore goes perfectly with Ballistic Blades.
