Where did you buy that? I need to get me some, but first off, are you sure it was gum you were chewing? 

It was Wrigley's 5, Vortex flavor. It has the best initial flavor of the 5s but it starts to taste awful after about 6 minutes. Cirrus is the best.

What i don't freaking get is how the claymore fans can purposely disregard the severe penalties it has on cooldown. It is one of the least versatile shotguns, as a caster using it is now more reliant on the gun than his own powers. So what is the point?

The wraith is built for those who want to flourish in the game, looking to improve their game performance to the highest level. If you look at the description of the wraith, it states that it is a more improved version of the eviscerator. Doesn't that give a hint that this gun should be better because the alliance actually worked toward improving an already good gun and making it exceptional? No one is going to make a better claymore, because as it is, its room for improvement is nill. No one likes using it as it clearly leaves the user in a poor situation due to such a powerful overkilling single shot.

The only instance I can think of would be the warlord; stupidly long CD on biotic hammer benefits greatly from faster recharge speed, however I'm struggling to think of any class which will actually lose damage by taking heavier / more powerful weapons over shorter cooldowns, given how little damage powers do by comparison.

It is evident in the weapon description kits. They state that the claymore is has inherent issues "due to kickback problems snapping the arms of anyone but krogan firing the weapon." With most kits being non-krogan, and many kits having caster powers that are weaker krogans, the cooldown not only takes a hit, but the kickback furthers it from being able to use a power efficiently.

Take the Drell Adept for example. Not exactly a krogan.

Or the Asari? Krogan? I think not.

When you use a claymore with a drell adept, reave + cluster grenades (wipe out spawn) you have to wait an entire 4 seconds before you are able to repeat the process on another. Instead you are just wasting grenades on spawns that you could have just used the hornet to do the same thing faster

If you take 2 weapons, you're better off with the wraith and an utility weapon like the scorpion. CDs are overrated most of the time, but too heavy and you'll be hurting your ingame performance too
