I'm going to carry two guns and kill more than the Claymore user with both weapons and my powers while he cowers in the corner because he can't kill Phantoms on host.

I don't even care about the claymore. It's ugly and should feel bad.
I'm a crusader my self.
But the wraith should feel bad because the Talon is better.

A reload cancelled Claymore is a very good gun indeed, but the Wraith has far too many advantages to just overlook them all. 2 shot to 1, near-Claymore damage, one of the best damage-per-shot to weight profiles in the game, a bit more range with SC than the Claymore. What Claymore enthusiasts won't often tell you is how they depend on their Incendiary ammo? Now why is that? Because on high difficulties their single shot headshot damage is often not enough to kill an enemy alone.

Yes, I am also one of those "they". However gun to gun there is no comparison. A Claymore X can at best compete with a Wraith V. A Wraith X wipes the floor with a Claymore X.

That depends if you want to use the Shotgun Omni Blade... which is quite superior to the Melee Stunner. Also... Wraith has a much greater range than the Talon when fired from out of cover.

That Slayer I taught you to play was carrying a light gun and he did well with it. Respec your fitness for melee and rock a Wraith + Omni Blade... it works wonderfully.

There are other things too... like if your caster also has grenades... Shock Trooper upgrade makes more sense, that means no Talon.

I could fill a page with reasons why.... ManBear said it best... whatever makes more sense for the kit.

I completely disagree with RedJohn talking about a Claymore AA... that's just stupid. Sorry RJ... just callin it like I see it.

I love my Wraith. BatSol never leaves home without it, because that is the weapon I like with him.

My Destroyer carries the Piranha. Because he makes it incredible, and that is the weapon I like with him.

My Krogan Sentinel and Soldier carry the Claymore. It is there birthright, I shall never deny them, and that is the weapon they want to carry. Their brother the Vanguard can carry the Claymore and be quite happy too.

The Raider gets used too. That is not the point.

I will speak from the PC perspective here, where aim with a mouse should be so easy....

The Claymore is a crucible. When you have developed the skill to use it to its full potential, it can be then understood to be really all that you need in your weapon. When you cannot hit the target, it is a death sentence, because even the quick reload cancel will not save you from a Phantom blade. You do not have a choice, you must hit your target, you must kill it. Discipline is required.....

Maybe that's what you do not understand, grasshopper.

So this one time I was casually trolling on BSN, and Ninja stan PM'd me saying I was banned.

I couldn't do half of what I normally do without my wraith. I've made quite the carrer of leaving claymore users in the dust. One nice rebalance to sp from mp is now both have the same damage. Being able to one shot everything at a fraction of the claymore weight, you can't beat that.

Claymore and wraith are just toys compared to a javelin if you can really aim.
